“I really enjoyed the 120 hr course, it was comprehensive and covered various teaching methods and class types beyond just the basics. It was a great choice for an online certification course, the one thing I would advise to other potential students is that the 120 hr and most other TEFL Org certificates offered don't include a practicum, which some jobs require so just be aware of this when choosing a course.”

“I felt the course video/media content was quite outdated and didn't really hold my attention. The videos, for me, are dull compared in keeping with the now. It could do with a brighten up. There could be content showing how to do online lessons. I feel this is an important, missing aspect. My tutors were helpful and quick to respond.”

“It's still the Wild West out there in ESL land, both online and IRL. I've been working internationally for decades. Never bothered with certification. Have dump truck loads of experience. Needed a quick 'certificate' for a new gig (which would have cost me $1 500 and a residency a decade ago) and got one in about 50 hours online through you folks. You seem pretty stable. You offer good advice and clear lessons. Congratulations. Share the wealth.”

“I thought the course was very good and thorough. I thought the videos were a bit boring because it was always the same people, mostly the same teacher and a bit too long. I also thought the grammar module was excessive, in my opinion. During my online class the instructor stated you would not likely be instructing grammar in that manner.”

“-Content was too repetitive at times. -Found myself reading the transcripts instead of watching the explanation videos as it seemed more dynamic than the slow and awkward pace of the videos. (Doesn't apply to videos of lessons) -The recommended materials for some of the lessons seemed a bit outdated. -Overall good but it could be made shorter without the repetitiveness.”

“The TEFL organization presents a valuable platform for learning about the English language and obtaining a teaching diploma. Despite the course's comprehensive structure, the instructions for assignments can be unclear at times, particularly during the methodology course, so students may be required to retake these assignments. Furthermore, support response times can be slow, taking over a week to resolve platform-related issues. Nevertheless, the teachers and tutors are knowledgeable and offer adequate guidance throughout the course.”

“I highly recommend the course. It is very well structured, well explained, with great videos showing examples of every main section of the modules. The teachers are nice and they explain with clarity, the quizzes and assignments are very good as well. I learned a lot, also about many things I wasn't even thinking should be important! “I thought the classroom videos were very helpful. The written assignments were great for getting lesson planning experience and the tutor's feedback was always excellent. I think there can be more content and examples on skills lesson planning.”

“Great value for the money. Very good customer service and tutors. However, although TEFL is an excellent methodology, I've been teaching for some time using a 50/50 "old school" approach (when given the latitude) of teacher- and student-centric activities, and my students have learned plenty. So when I hear the sentence "do it this way or your students won't learn anything," I cringe. I still use textbooks (very good ones) that TEFL hardly mentions. Still, TEFL has great ideas, structure, and an approach that will get results every time. Worth the investment.”

“I enjoyed the course,, i did the level 5, it as hard at times and i was getting bit frustrated but i did get it eventually. It was ok the waiting time for the tutor to mark my work as it gave me a bit of a break, as it is hard to read so much information and do the tests and assignments. so a rest was needed. no point hurrying it. I just now would like to get out there teaching english now to foreign students. to get the practise in to get better. The course is fine,, the tutor gives you the imput you need as best they can. So this is fine .My tutor was arthur he was fine. I ned to get set up now and work online teaching.”

“I found The TEFL Org to be a very professionally run organization that does its utmost to prepare its students to take on life as a teacher. They are very professional and timely in responding to queries and are there to help every step of the way. When I first began looking for a TEFL school to enroll in, I was struck by how many choices I had, and the widely varying price ranges. I could not be happier to have chosen The TEFL Org, and now that I've recently graduated, I'm finding their job board to be extremely useful. I appreciate the experience I've had with everyone I've interacted with at TEFL Org. The only thing I'd suggest is that it would've been very helpful/connecting, to have met our tutor (on a quick Zoom call) when we first enrolled. I think that would have added a really strong connecting component to have this brief introduction and would've enhanced the student experience, so that when we received feedback from our assignments, we could attach a face and personality. One other thing: sometimes, the 48-hour turnaround time to hear back from our tutor, felt like a long response time. So maybe there's a way to decrease the response time to emails.”
