I found the tutor interesting but the course too long. It should have been spread out over 4 days

This online-course is not the first in my life, so in this course I feel lack of feedback, it's a little bit boring, just to read theory and do tests, in my previous online-courses we had different types of work, different discussions and it was more interesting.

the videos are absolutely dire and I think that I would never have been able to learn English if I had to rely on lessons like those. The actual course is fine but its annoying that the price keeps going down now that I have paid for it

Sorry for not being much help, but I have not started it yet. Plan to start this weekend. Contact info. and log on details sent to me were fine. Darren

The information and ideas were interesting and useful and the tests at the end of each section were fair. I didn't think that the final assessment was explained in terms of objectives, exemplars or marking criteria. Apart from that, I learnt a lot.

Got sidelined for a while. Still doing self study grammar section so nothing to report as yet. Do not have a rating to give but forced to give one anyway. Hope this is not indicative of the rest of the course.

It's a good course if you want to update your knowledge of technology, and of changes in teaching styles. It does show you, if you haven't tried it, what it's like to study online. I do think it's weird to never once speak to anyone, ever. That seems bizarrely inappropriate, in any language training. Isn't speaking essential? I wish a skype session was part of it. But, I still got enough out of it, to call it worth the time and money.

I am a non-native English speaker. I would like to see videos about non-native English speakers as lecturers. Please explain clearly your instructions especially in the assignments. I've sent emails to my tutor about my queries but it would be nice if I don't have to. I am happy that I can retake the quizzes as many as I want to. It helps me to understand the questions better.

I found the course had relevant content but there were many spelling mistakes throughout the reading material. Also it is not that user-friendly to navigate through the site. I do believe the lesson planning section could go more in-depth. My tutor however was excellent and gave really good advice/tips. If I had to do another TEFL course I would definitely use this service again mainly because it is easy to access from the internet using my laptop or phone, it is an internationally recognised course and the assistance from the tutor. Overall, a decent course for the price I paid (it was on sale!).

Hello TEFL, Well the course is super good but I would add a few things, especially on Grammar section: you could elaborate a bit the theory part and add for Noun:-properties of Noun, Cases, and for the Verb, problems like properties of the verb, how many types of verb do exist in English...as for now, this is all I can add.Going on with the course will help see other things and be able to add a few things. Thank you!!!

Overall it was simple to enroll the thing that struck me was that once I had enrolled there was too little guiding me to what next... The focus seems to be on collecting the money and then your on your own until you fill in the forms to get your tutor. Not deal breaker but could have been more learning focused I think some sort of roadmap would have been useful.. you are here - this is where next - this is the objective and some sort of planner or suggest target dates for modules to keep the momentum.. Hope this helps.

It wasn't clear to me that there was a limited time frame so I was waiting to start the grammar course after the TEFL course when I got an email to say I had three days before expiry. The course was advertised as 30 hours and I scored 98% in nine hours. That was fine but I'm not sure how much I learned in that short time frame. I think some interaction with a tutor would be really useful, but for £30 it was good value!

There should be more interactive exercises, too boring

Although the TEFL website may appear quite comprehensive, in my opinion, it doesn't really offer any idea of what the content of the courses might consist of in practice.

The course I rate very highly (4 -5 star) The induction process was far from clear - hence indifferent review.

I would like to know how much time should be spent on each section. Being a 60's child my knowledge of tenses is sparse and now being 55 it's quite difficult to remember new concepts. I'm taking notes on each slide to support me in the tests which has been beneficial to a point. As a teacher I feel confident in how to teach and I would plan a lesson by referring to my notes and obviously I would become more competent the more experience I would have. (I'm now feeling I'm using the incorrect tense!!) I suggest you produce a booklet to accompany the course (perhaps you have one but I'm not aware of it) I've obtained a copy of Practical English Usage but haven't opened it very much yet, it doesn't look user friendly!

Hello Deborah, Thank you for your feedback. We do give some guidance on timescales for each module (e.g. 30 hours dedicated towards English grammar module, 20 hours for the video observation module) but all online coursework is self-paced so you can study at a time and pace that suits you. You may want to spend longer on some topics/assignments than others. We do have downloadable PDF resources - end of unit/module summaries. Regards, Alan, TEFL Advisor

I rang to ask about the course. The man I spoke to did tell me the basics of how the course progressed but I did have to draw information from him that I thought should have been forthcoming such as whether or not I needed certain qualifications to be accepted onto the course. All in all though he was clear and accepted my deposit. The transaction was efficient.

The classroom course was excellent but I have had a few problems with emails allegedly being sent and not recieving anything at my end - in the end though I did recieve everything that I needed (I hope) - even simple things like a course confirmation or even a bill proved impossible to recieve on my email account for a couple of weeks. I found the call handlers in Scotland a bit abrupt and all too keen to add on admin fees of £10 willy nilly. My tutor took over a week to sign his agreement form, then he sent what seemed like a rather brusque email that he had actually sent it the week before (even though the person on the TELF.org chat box had said the day before I heard from my tutor that the tutor had filled in the form but hadn't actually signed it or pressed 'ok', whetever he had to do to confirm it). It just seems a bit tatty from my point of view and I don't like bearing any kind of brunt when I happen not to have recieved an email through no fault of my own. Its not a problem with my email account because, as I say, emails do get through to me in the end (on the same account) when they absolutely have to. But as I say the course in London was excellent and Asif (I think thats his name) really did a brilliant job.

Dear Alan, You and Louis were both very polite when I spoke to you on the phone. I did have a problem and explained it to Louis. I enrolled on the last day of the summer sale and received a 30 pct discount. It was clearly advertised that this was the END of the summer sale..... A week or so later I received an email from your company informing me that the summer sale was hotting up and there was now a 35 pct discount. I spoke to Louis and he told me that if I payed the Balance that day I could also take advantage of the later offer. Unfortunatley when I looked that evening I couldn´t find anywhere to pay it. To be honest I thought that it was bad business practice and was a bit disappointed with your company. Saying that I´m looking forward to starting the course. Sue
