“While I was working through the material, the tutor gave great advice. The questions of the quizzes made me think about the material from a different angle, which led me to understand the material in more depth.”

“The course covered a lot. I was disappointed at the way some of the students were taught in a few sample lessons. They were sitting on chairs with nothing to write on and they were trying to write on their knees! They looked very uncomfortable. The layout of the room was awful. In one or two lessons the tutor was even sitting on the floor. I have taught for thirty years and found this really bad. Also a video of someone teaching a large class would be useful.”

“I would have preferred the course started off with basic english learners and then progressed to the pre-intermediate. I also think having videos of a classroom of 5 or 6 people, then expecting us to produce a lesson plan for 60 students is unrealistic. I did not enjoy or learn from the writing assignments at all. They were quite frustrating for me. On a lighter note, Thomas was THE BEST. Without him, I would not have completed the course. He was very patient and encouraging.”

“The course itself was good, I learned a lot and the assignments were challenging but approachable. Some of the questions in the assignments could be worded better but the feedback given by the tutors was good and helped when I made an error. In all I would / have recomended the course to family and friends. 8/10”

“I had a fantastic experience with my 120-hour course! I'm currently teaching 6th grade in Honduras, and found almost all of the experience, minus the virtual learning, which didn't feel immediately relevant to my own work in the way that everything else did. I found myself looking forward to each evening when I'd dedicate some amount of time (30 minutes or 3 hours) to advancing through the classes. The methodology section, in particular the PPP-style lesson, has completely changed how I view my lessons and teaching in general. I will happily recommend this program to other people (I aleady have!), although some have pointed out that there are cheaper TEFL certificate courses available. That being said, as far as a reputable certificate program, I think that The TEFL Org is the best!”

“I enjoyed all the courses, they were well structured, covering everything we need to know. I found the lessons and the materials very useful, I got a lot of new ideas for my classes. I liked the assignments, because they were challenging. Some quizzes were perhaps a bit too easy to solve, but it was fun to do them.”

“I did the course very quickly, as I'm retired. Thoroughly enjoyed it. My Tutor was pleasant and helpful. I'm not sure how the 120 hours is measured though. I can't possibly have spent that much time on it. There were at least two occasions where I was distracted by errors made on the whiteboard. I recall 'footballer's earn too much money' once and 'use to' twice. Also, the volume varied a lot, and not just when it was that awful children's lesson (where there was a helpful warning). But all that said, I'm pleased that I did it. And I'll refer back to it from time to time. Would recommend as a learning experience.”

“The process was smooth! The courses were helpful and easy to navigate. I appreciated that each lesson-video includes a transcript because sometimes I wasn't able to listen to the video while working but was still able to read it. I appreciate the layout of the units, modules, quizzes and assignments. It's nice to be able to retake a quiz to enhance your score, as well as revise assignments to ensure passing. My tutor Angie was awesome with feedback and communication. I plan to take additional specialized courses through TEFL.org when the time is right.”
