“I have just completed the 120-hour online course. The course was enjoyable and despite having some concerns, especially with the grammar section, all went smoothly. I feel well prepared to take the next step of actually teaching. I can recommend this course.”

“Excellent Course and the written assignments clarified alot for me especially with my Tutor's patient feedback on every revision of my answers. “Actually, I am quite an experienced English teacher, but I have never worked abroad, only in my own country, Ukraine, and my native language is the same as that of my students. Therefore, the course still brought me new experiences. The most challenging part was the section on working with large groups, and I completed it last. I couldn't understand how it was possible to teach such a large number of people, but when I did the assignment, it felt like managing a well-organized Speaking club. And that can be interesting! Thank you for the course. I don't know yet how I will use this knowledge, I don't have a plan, but I hope it will help me expand my horizons. I hope for good luck.”

“Feedback 1. The section on Grammar should be expanded to incorporate more ‘technical’ knowledge needed to be a good English teacher. Currently, while the course it does cover some basics, it presupposes a certain level of grammar knowledge- which may not be true. Upon getting TEFL certified, they may therefore get a false sense of accomplishment and feel they can become good English teachers, which may not be so, if they aren’t totally up to the mark in their grammar and technical knowledge. 2. Consider introducing (perhaps optional?) - a live English speaking assessment section (similar to IELTS test) 3. While the classes are shown for British English (esp. Scotland), the facilitators refer to American English- why is that? 4. Please upload some videos into these 2 modules: Telephone/ Remote teaching and Teaching large classes 5. Videos: add option to activate subtitles on the video, in addition to the transcript below. This is because sometimes the audio quality is not good (due to mic placement or cross-talk between students) and if one scrolls down to read the transcript, the video is no longer visible on the same screen and the experience is jarring. 6. Quizzes: In a scenario when I pass a quiz but scored less than 100%, for those questions that I did not get right, you must show in ‘Feedback’ what the correct answer is, instead of only saying “Sorry, that's incorrect.””

This could be a valuable addition for our students, offering them a chance to practice their speaking skills in a similar format to the IELTS test. Generally, when a course is purchased in USD, it automatically places you on the American English course, so this will be referred to during the training. “My experience with the 200-hour Level 5 TEFL Certification was very positive. I am not a great fan of online learning, but living abroad gave me few options in this regard. I was able to complete the training and gain knowledge necessary to function well in a new teaching environment. Certain aspects do not deal with my specific situation, but I understand the global nature of the training and the reasoning behind presenting such a broad profile. This helps prepare for any eventual situation that lacks certain resources and teaches one to be creative and flexible.”

“The content was good, but I found it a little redundant at times. There were many parts where I was hoping for more in-depth information or more explicit examples of the topics covered. My biggest concern were the number of production notes that were left in the course. I reported in three or four instances where the content wasn’t present at all and instead had notes for it to be added.”

“Comprehensive content with a great amount of resources and ideas for teaching materials and approaches. I liked that the grammar section could be completed without any need for assignments, leaving those for the methodology section which required more tutor input and feedback. I could study at my own pace and there are several options for continuing my studies in specialised areas.”
