“I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The assignments were quite challenging but overall it was a great online course. I’m pleased to say I will be proudly showing my certificate at my first job interview on Monday for a school close by. I live in spain and will (if I get the job!) be teaching extra English classes to groups of young learners. Wish me luck! :)”

“It was a well put together, comprehensive and intelligent course and I certainly learned a great deal. Some feedback: The videos looked dated and could do with a re-shoot. I sometimes could not hear the students so I suggest they are miked up in future. I discovered two errors in the questions which I brought to the attention of the tutor. Some other questions could be more clearly written, for instance one referred to the UK as a country. Maybe consider changing the Telephone Teaching module to Online Teaching and a give a greater emphasis to online teaching methods. Finally, just a minor point, but I didn’t understand why there were no desks or tables in the classrooms; papers and other materials were just put on the floor, which was a bit weird. Overall I enjoyed the course and I would recommend to others.”

“Overall I thoroughly enjoyed learning through Tefl. I had never been taught grammar and found some of the content in the module difficult to follow, but eventually it fell into place . I was surprised to get 100% in each of my assignments as my tutor always had some form of constructive criticism to offer. I finished the online training before doing the classroom course, therefore I found that it merely consolidated what I’d already learnt. This was helpful, but I did not think it was essential. Personally, I would recommend covering the grammar course prior to doing the classroom course, as grammar was referred to on a number of occasions and some participants were clearly struggling. Furthermore, I would tell participants that they need either a laptop or a smart phone in order to write lesson plans, and I would ask the venue to provide tables or desks to work from.”

“I really enjoyed taking my TEFL course. The written modules are well presented and the videos are helpful as well. I liked the fact that the units were evaluated with one or several quizzes and a not a "big" assessment everytime, even though those are totally welcomed to practice preparing a lesson. I also loved having a tutor who gave me a personal feedback, it's so much better than just a "you passed" or "retry", it's very motivating. I would totally recommend The TEFL Org!”

“I thought the content and the quizzes were great. The long classroom observation videos could do with some editing to speed up the sections where the class is just talking (you can get the gist of student teacher interaction at 2x speed). It would be nice if more student collaboration would be encouraged and even some face to face time with your tutor. This would create more community learning and make asking questions and discussing concerns a lot easier. My tutor, Alex, was very prompt with marking my assignments and gave very valuable feedback.”

“Course materials are usually helpful but delivery is inconsistent and feels cobbled together. The tutor support is prompt but there should be the opportunity to communicate with tutor on phone particularly at the beginning. I know the org needs to make money so supply of direct support would need to be rationed but I feel this could be achieved by a token system duty tutor Roster.”
