“The course itself did contain a lot of useful information and details regarding teaching. However I do believe the tutor assigned to myself intentionally didn't let me pass so I have to pay for extensions and use more money on the course.”

“I think the program was overall OK. I found a series of grammarical/punctuational errors throughout the presentations and text, which I'm happy to provide editing for in exchange for free classes. The tutor I had was nice, but I wish I would have gotten more detailed feedback on certain assignments, both positive and negative feedback. I haven't yet used the job search function so I can't rate that as of yet.”

“TEFL Org provides a comprehensive version of the TEFL course online with clear, general explanations and observational learning through classroom videos. Its monotonous display and website formatting could use some visual enhancement. The organization of the course content could also be improved. Increasing detailed guidelines and footnoted material would also help. The video instruction sometimes gave self-explanatory information while sounding pedantic. The course method encouraged much hands-on learning. You have to figure out a lot of stuff yourself. But I don't like this feeling that it's like I didn't learn anything.”

“It’s all on line you wait 48 hours for a reply to your work. There is 2 days only face to face. . If you don’t have a teaching background you may struggle. I found it very solitary and did not enjoy it. I struggled with some of it mainly unit 12. After doing this course I realise I do not like online learning and although I “passed” it means nothing in the bigger picture of confidently teaching English. I think improvement can be made with more face to face teaching every 8 weeks at an additional cost. If this were available I would have done it”

“The content was good, but I found it a little redundant at times. There were many parts where I was hoping for more in-depth information or more explicit examples of the topics covered. My biggest concern were the number of production notes that were left in the course. I reported in three or four instances where the content wasn’t present at all and instead had notes for it to be added.”

“The course was okay. I managed to learn a lot in 7 weeks. I did not like the video quality. I could often not hear the students speaking in the classroom videos. So I just read the text instead. But sometimes the text showed "inaudible." So clearly this could be improved. My tutor marked my assignments within 48 hours as promised, there was ample resources, the price was good and overall this was a decent experience.”

“I felt the training was helpful, but I wish it was more interactice specifically on the Grammar module which was VERY long and not interesting at all. I liked the modules that we had to submit and type lesson plans for. Having a tutor review and make suggestions made the modules feel more like a real class.”

“Hi, I have completed the 40 hour English teaching online course. After completion I feel like I have not gained much over sight as to teach a lesson online. There was a few videos examples but the 'students' in the videos were clearly native English speakers and they knew exactly what the teacher was saying. I feel like this does not show the reality of teaching online to non native English speakers. I feel like I do not have the confidence going forward to pursue teaching English online. The module on how to set up my website and thorough enough and that was excellent advice and it gave me all the resources I needed.”

“I thought it was a good course overall. I found the more complex grammar points to be a bit confusing and not well explained, but the other units were good. As a US citizen hoping to work in Europe, the list of potential jobs (ie ones that will apply for a work permit) is negligible, so unfortunately I’m not sure I’ll be able to utilize their job placement help…”

“Structure of the course was cohesive and Information was delivered well through videos. Quizzes were a bit too easy in my opinion and could be more challenging. Sadly the tutor feedback was often times mainly copy-paste, not really catering to the specifics of my answers, in which I put a lot of effort. Also, even if the assignment was passed, there sometimes was little to no positive feedback. Apart from that the assignments were good exercises.”

“I really enjoyed the course. The bite size capsules made learning the material easy. What did throw me off was the fact that my tutor had spelling mistakes in his feedback. I found that off-putting. It was as if a bot was answering me, not a real person. Or perhaps a person from India that does not even speak English but puts my answer into some kind of AI processor. Not cool!”

“I recently completed the 120-hour Premium TEFL Course. The course was very good in terms of both content and presentation of the material. I feel confident that I am able to teach English as a foreign language in a variety of settings and with a variety of methods. My tutor always provided helpful feedback on my assignments very fast. The course does a pretty good job at making the material interesting, and the teaching materials from the course are available to download which is a great bonus. I have two complaints: 1) The course is far longer than 120 hours! The course vastly over-estimates how quickly the average person can complete it. When I signed up for the course I was told that most people complete it within 4-6 weeks, but I fail to see how that is possible. It took me over six months to complete (I worked on the course for an average of 1-3 hours per day). Granted, I was sometimes busy with other things and so I did not work on the course every day, but I was told when I signed up that the course is designed to be flexible so that it can be completed even by people with full-time jobs. I am sorry, but this is a bare-faced lie. I cannot comprehend how someone is able to complete the course within 4-6 weeks, unless they are skipping through slides without reading the informaton presented, or skipping the videos without watching them (to progress to the next module, you must answer multiple-choice quizzes, but since you can re-take these if you fail, it would in theory be possible to skip content this way). Unless you want to cheat like this, or spend many hours every day on the course, you should in my opinion allow a minimum of three months for the course (longer if you are working). 2) TEFL forces you to pay extra if you do not meet their arbitrary deadline. The course expires after six months, and if you are running out of time to complete it (having already paid), you are FORCED TO PURCHASE AN EXTENSION, for an extortionate price. The course itself is very good value for money, but this is offset by the COMPLETELY ARBITRARY imposition of a deadline, beyond which you will be FORCED TO PAY EXTRA to complete a course you have ALREADY PAID FOR!! As I mentioned above, since the course actually takes far longer than the estimated time, this means that I imagine many people fall into this trap and I would not be surprised if this is how TEFL makes a lot of their money. I can see no valid reason why the courses expire, other than to force customers to pay extra in this underhanded way. If not for these two factors, I would give the course 5 stars, but being deceived about how long the course takes, and then forced to pay extra, leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth to say the least.”

This is simply an average though, so some students can take longer and others complete them much sooner. As our courses are flexible it means that our students can complete as much or as little as they like each week. We also keep track of these statistics to ensure we're providing accurate information, so please be assured the stats we provide are based on an average of all our students. We would also ike to clarify that no student is ever forced to purchase an extension. This is completely the choice of the student. We ensure that the timeframe of our courses are clearly advertised on our website, and the student's account. So our students can always know the deadline of their course to plan their studies around this. Should they need more time then we do indeed offer the option to purchase an extension. “The overall quality was above average. Considering the amount of errors in both answers and questions and not being able to find the answers for several questions, even though looking up the resources mentioned in the "what to reviews before taking the quiz". The appointments at the end gave a good insight and were neither too hard nor too easy. I'd suggest at least 4 tries before the support as to be written to. Because sometimes you get something wrong even when looking it up correctly in the course materials.”

“Overall experience is OK, but just OK. Although you have provided a lot of demonstrated lessons, there are not any sources, such as websites or textbooks, from where tutors can teach vocabulary, reading, or listening to their future students. It would therefore be very helpful to have a few suggestions to come with the theoretical stuff. You have done so only in regard to the grammar section by recommending some book which is really good, but not with the other things”

“Easy to navigate the course, I do not feel I have learned all the grammar topics there are so many of his was more or an intro really. My trainers feedback was sometimes confusing and I was not clear on how I could contact her directly to get clarification. This resulted me having to submit work multiple times I was not sure was correct just to get further feedback. The feedback was given in good time which was a positive. The course content was massively on face to face training but I want to deliver online. Luckily I have experience in online teaching but would have been better to focus more on this as it is the way the work is going. I am qualified and can now look for work but I still feel there will be a lot for me to learn.”
