“It was a challenging and interesting journey for me and I’m really grateful and happy, but most importantly proud of myself for achieving this goal I longed for. I would like to thank my mentors for their support and honest feedback on my assignment. Thank you Charlei ! Thank you Fiona! And thank you TEFL for this amazing course. P.S.: It would be a great idea to arrange at least a video call with our mentors at least once throughout the course. This could be something you could implement and it will be very helpful for futur mentees who desperately need help.”

“I have recently completed the 120 hour course and 40 hour exam prep course. Both very useful courses to help me on my journey. The content is insightful and the assignment feedback is valuable. “I recently completed the TEFL course and I must say, it was an excellent experience. The course was well-structured and covered all the necessary aspects of teaching English as a foreign language. The modules were easy to follow and provided a comprehensive understanding of teaching techniques, classroom management, and lesson planning. The online platform was user-friendly and provided easy access to all the study materials. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always available to answer any questions. “I finished the 168 hour course in about four months. I struggled for a long time with completing tasks because my assigned tutor gave incomprehensive partial sentences as feedback, which made it extremely difficult to adjust my work for correctness. The only reason I would suggest this course is because of the tutor I was assigned after I requested a new tutor. Tom was fantastic. He gave lengthy and specific feedback, extra resources, and recommendations for other answers after I’d finished assignments. I already have a teaching degree and license, in addition to a graduate degree in communication, so I feel that my feedback below is accurate and very detailed. Pros: Self-guided, which makes doing it around a busy life easier. Varying information sources (videos, charts, paragraphs, etc) Tests/Assignments are usually well spaced out so it’s nice to self-pace from those. Cons: There are many grammar mistakes throughout the course, which is a bit unexpected for a high level TEFL course. The order in which to complete classes is confusing, since they aren’t numbered. My first tutor was abysmal (but my second was great). Don’t be afraid to ask for a new one if you’re struggling to get usable feedback. Sometimes the word count on assignments isn’t enough and can be restrictive, and sometimes it’s way too much, which means adding in fluff. I know someone else who completed this course and they strongly agreed. The word count in the provided text boxes is inconsistent with word count in Microsoft Word and other online word count programs, which means you have to remove or add work after you’re done. Sometimes the amount of information per slide is overwhelming, which can become frustrating. Some assignment examples don’t match their own requirements (so it can be difficult to use them in structuring your own assignment). I never used the grammar textbook. Tips for other students: Definitely take notes. You can reference them for assignments instead of flipping through slides. I don’t think the grammar book is necessary if you’re a native speaker of English. I can’t speak for an ESL learner, as I don’t have that personal insight. If you’re not getting constructive feedback, ask for a new tutor. I stressed for weeks over this, and struggled a lot in multiple assignments trying to get feedback. Just ask for a new tutor if this applies to you. Wait for a sale to get the course. I’m not sure it would’ve been worth the value if I had bought this course at full price. The jobs page is not worth the effort, you’ll have more results researching for yourself. I really did appreciate the results of this course since I plan on using the certification, but I feel it’s very disorganized and perhaps some of the tutors are not equipped for advising in the higher level courses, or maybe they don’t have the time to give their students. If you get Tom as a tutor, thank whatever gods may be and get cracking.”

“I did the 120 hour TEFL online course. I was a bit concerned at the beginning how well learning remotely would work but the videos were super clear and really interesting. My tutor was always on hand to answer questions which made it less lonely! I found the course really stimulating and as it was online, I could work at my own pass and at any hour of the day!”

“I've got many useful info about lesson structures and online teaching, but the videos are old and boring sometimes. Furthermore, last two courses had no any video examples, and its a the main disadvantage. Thank you”
