“The lessons were clear and useful. However, within the modules there were some spelling mistakes in the text, which was very unprofessional, you would think there would be proofreaders. In some of the video lessons the audio is extremely quiet and hard to hear. The transcriptions of the videos aren't actually transcriptions except for in the Telephone Teaching Course. The transcriptions are a sentence saying what the video is of, not the words spoken. The combination of the lack of transcription and bad audio made some of the videos incomprehensible to me. The courses themselves did teach a lot about how to teach English and the necessary preparations for classes.”

“It took my tutor way too long to regrade my last assignment- about a week- after I resubmitted the corrections twice. I submitted it again because after about four days she still hadn't graded it. On certain lessons I would get a list of corrections and then fix them and resubmit only to get a new list of different corrections. This process was difficult for me, struggling to make the corrections with not enough (for me) guidance and sometimes still getting things wrong because I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong because the conversation wasn't in real-time and I would have to wait days to know if I did things wrong or not. I had to message my tutor to ask a general question about the grammar course but by the time I had gotten an answer a few days later I was already able to encounter the answer. I feel like having to wait days to hear back from your tutor isn't the best way to learn, and that's kind of a letdown as your methodology course is all about how to make your teaching the most effective for the students. Note: I am not angry at my tutor, they were doing what they were told to do, I think the issue is with the instructions being given to the tutors.”

It is strange that you were able to 'submit your work again' though, as the submit button vanishes once an assignment is submitted. Tutors also mark work within 48-hours, so we will certainly look into this further as it seems that we never received it initially. Tutors are certainly there to help answer any questions regarding course assignments. For the Grammar course however, we do recommend contacting the Support team for a quicker answer. “The program is very well put together. The courses work well together and the flow of the program if nice. I did have an issue here and there where when I’d click to go to the next lesson, it would bring me back to the course overview, but that was minor. Overall, the courses are engaging and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend.”

“The only thing that I would add is practical videos of the different stages of the telephone teaching (Before, During, After) and of large classes, so that when we have to do the assignments we have a clearer idea of what to do/write”

“I was happy about the 50% discount and I began the courses right away. I felt supported by the tutor who gave quick feedback, I enjoyed very much the actors and TEFL teachers and students in the videos. I appreciated the Resource section, very helpful. And, I plan on purchasing the grammar books. My goal is to help teach as many people English, particularly in Mexico. I d like continued support to teach on-line. My goal is to have several clients or groups who n-line and also to travel around Mexico. I would love to teach in some small towns sometimes too, to help people learn English. While travelling here, I met many people with the need and desire to learn. I know I can help. It was a very good challenge to complete the Modules and I recommend it to anyone interested in leaning to prepare lessons and set up classrooms.”

“I give it a 5 star as its website is clear and professional, tutors are quick in reviewing assignments, easy payment and overall had a good experience. The only thing I would redo or update are the video lessons in the modules. They seem a but outdated but maybe it’s the sound/mic that gives it away.”

“TEFL Org provided a thorough course that was interesting and engaging. It covered grammar, methodology and specialised areas of teaching through lessons, classroom examples, quizzes and assignments. In particular, I enjoyed the classroom videos and the enthusiasm and clarity of the teachers. I was able to study at my own pace with the support of a tutor and the Scottish accents were an additional bonus.”

“I was very impressed with the course, it comprehensively covered a lot of ground, in a simple and very clear way. The system of testing, was also great as it was quick and to the point, and easy to learn from mistakes within seconds, which helps with retaining correct info, quickly. I particularly enjoyed the videos where bad teaching practice was shown, as it was funny and brilliantly effective. I was also very grateful that my tutor read and marked my last few assignments so quickly, as I was getting very close to the deadline (poor time management on my part) and it helped me hugely!”
