Our teacher was very nice, but didn’t give the kids any time to process one stroke before she was on to the next, she didn't engage with them and rushed through like she was going through the motions. Also, there were two occasions when my son was crying in the middle of the pool (he has never cried at swimming before) once because he was confused and overwhelmed at the fast paced changes, and once because he was kicked in the face. I would expect a teacher in the latter case especially to get in the pool to assist him, but instead she just stood at the side saying “what’s wrong?” So in the end my daughter swam over to help him. All in all not a positive experience.

I have took about 5 hours of lessons so far with SwimNow and it has been a wonderful experience. Thanks to my coach Pete, he’s made swimming lessons really fun and interesting. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s wanting to learn swimming.

Can’t thank Amy enough for our lessons. Went in as an adult learner who had very little swimming experience as a child and couldn’t even stay afloat and left having learnt three techniques and overall much more confident in the pool. This was all down to Amy and her teaching. Her calm and helpful manner meant I felt at ease and always felt like I was learning. She was friendly and lovely to get to know over the course of our lessons. This made it much easier. Very much worth it value-wise to me. The tempo of the lessons meant that I wasn’t rushed but equally not too slow. One to one lessons can be expensive but I’m really grateful to Amy and her insight. She’s an incredible teacher and appreciate all she did for me.

Lovely instructor but the subscription price was ridiculous, £45 for a half hour lesson way too expensive.

Just started my lessons and already I am improving, the instructor (Orla) is super and gives me great confidence, would recommend as they work around you and you do not get penalised if you let them know in advance you are not going. Strongly recommend 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️

My son started swimming due to a diagnosed condition with the hospital, his swimming instructor Joanne has had all the patience with him and within 1 day he managed to get two certificates and is half way through a 3rd I’m ever so proud of my son learning to swim and I cannot thank Joanne enough for teaching him all of this. Massive well done to my son and his swimming instructor Joanne.

I have just had my introductory lesson. My instructor was brilliant at putting me at ease. She showed care and patience, also was fully aware of my anxiety and adjusted the lesson accordingly. Will definitely continue classes. A great start.

Last swimming lesson I had was over 30 years ago. Never learnt to swim. On holiday I would always stand near the edge and wouldn't move from there. Took the plunge( pardon the pun) and decided to take some lessons so I can enjoy holidays with my kids, who can swim. Signed up with Swim now in Leicester. Andy is a legend of teacher. In my first lesson gave me the confidence to do a star float, with my face in the water. By lesson six, i was able to do the basics of a forward crawl. Thanks Andy!

Pete is a wonderful teacher. He offers the knowledge, support and encouragement you need to push yourself. He is excellent at breaking things down so you don't feel too overwhelmed. After a few lessons, I felt confident enough to go to the pool on my own, despite turning up to my first lesson in tears! I spent years putting off learning how to swim but I'm so glad I signed up to SwimNow. I genuinely really enjoy my lessons and always leave with a smile on my face. Super grateful for Pete.

Swim coach Andy was brilliant, however, contact from Swim Now is dreadful. We waited 6 months after paying initial deposit and when emailing them to chase up anything, they never replied. We unfortunately had to miss one lesson due to child sickness when i picked him up from school and didn’t want him to be sick in the pool. Although I messaged Andy to inform him of this, it was counted as a lesson as it wasn’t 24 hours notice. I emailed Swim Now but again they didn’t bother even replying to me. Lessons are good but very expensive, will be looking for a 1-2-1 lesson at my local pool for a third of the price!

I started my 7 year old in March of this year. He was very nervous around water, couldn’t swim and wouldn’t jump in or put his head under water. 7 months later he has just swam 40 meters, happily swims underwater and will cannon ball jump into a pool. Holly is an amazing teacher and built his confidence gently challenging him to improve each week. The progress he made with 121 tuition was many times faster than group classes.

Andy was my swimming instructor. I feel so comfortable and confident with swimming. I’m so glad I took the step of getting a swimming instructor and finally have a positive experience being in water. Definitely recommend !!

Whilst the lessons have been good, the management and running of the company can only be described as amateurish and unprofessional. Our teacher left the company and despite him providing four weeks notice, we were given zero weeks notification that our lessons would stop for many weeks whilst they found a replacement instead without having any contingency arrangements for cover in such situations. As a result of a pause in lessons we found lessons elsewhere and on obtaining a place we served out notice on Swimnow. Whilst Swimnow allow you to 'bank' lessons you're unable to attend, they refused to honour three lessons we had banked and had adequate records of. On raising complaint by email, both to their office and their CEO, a week passed without response and on calling them, one of their staff (Gareth) seemed to forget he was talking to a customer, being rude, refusing to listen and even laughing at me. Had the lessons been cheap I would have let this go, however at around £90 per hour I wanted to recover my money - since joining an alternative lessons, it's now clear to me that Swimnow's lessons do not add the ~£35 of value they charge over small group lessons elsewhere. The teachers are all very friendly and I appreciate that whilst the face of the company they cannot do anything about their companies incompetence for which they are extremely let-down. If you're considering Swimnow, I'd seriously advise you to look at alternatives first.

I could not swim at all before joining SwimNow. However, the instructor was really calm and supportive, making learning feel safe and fun. I can now swim thanks to the amazing instructor in Leicester. He is also very knowledgeable about the swimming techniques and able to teach them clearly and effectively. Having the 1:1 sessions meant I felt more able to work around my availability and they were very accommodating with the different sessions. Thank you for a very positive experience and teaching me how to swim .

We’ve had the pleasure of knowing Amy over the past year when our daughter had one to one sessions with her. We found an extremely friendly professional. Skills, we she has evidently put in use to teach our daughter. Her noticeable progress is testament to Amy’s work. We are sad to see her go on the back of acceptinga job promotion; however, we wish her best of luck for the future
