“I can't comment about the service as I've never had to use it. However wasn't too impressed with the renewal fee which was well over 50% increase on the previous years price because "the car was older" even though I'd not called out breakdown the whole year - what would it have been if I had had to make a call? Renewal quote reduced after shopping around with better price.”

Hi Jeremiah, thank you for leaving a review. Our prices are partly dependent on the age of the vehicles on cover. However, we value our existing customers and always look to provide the best price, which is why renewal savings are automatically included meaning an existing customer would not pay more than a new customer for equivalent cover. “Renewal process is easy, Ive had to use the recovery and I have to say the staff and the recovery personnel were proffessional, helpful and quick to complete the whole process”

“Very happy to be renewing our policy with Start Rescue, at a reasonable price, slightly lower than last year! Unfortunately we have had to use them twice in the past year (second time was this evening). On both occasions, the rescue vehicle arrived within the time specified (2 hours last summer, and today it was 1 hour - in fact the car was on the back of the truck within half an hour today!). Start Rescue use local breakdown / recovery companies, so as long as they're not too busy their response time is quite good. The recovery mechanic said that lengthy delays with some breakdown services are usually due to poor communication between the control centre and the recovery firm, so it appears that Start Rescue control centre is on the ball. Communication was straightforward - all reported through the app, with follow-up messages and a call to check all was ok. Great job!”
