“When I needed assistance it was denied or available at an additional cost. Stuck in snow and needed a tow out but was met by a call handler denying I was broken down. This was despite previous assurance that the cover included snow and mud problems.”

While our policies cover a recovery up to 10 miles if you have the misfortune to be stuck in the snow or mud, the use of specialist equipment to recover the vehicle is not covered by our policies. Whilst our Breakdown Team are able to arrange this service for you, if specialist equipment is required to recover you then there would be an additional charge. “Have had to use the service once when my car developed a fuel leak. Once reported using the app a recovery truck and mechanic were with me within 30 minutes. Attempted repair but was unsuccessful so recovered 100 miles back home in a single trip. Can't fault the service that I received. Good value too when compared to main competitors.”

“I’d got a message to say my renewal had not gone through. Extremely helpful and patient team member sorted everything quickly and efficiently. Somehow I’d managed to take out two policies although they were slightly different!”

“I've needed the services of Start Rescue on three occassions. I was so impressed with the service. The communication was regular, clear and caring, using the app and phone calls. The recovery people who got my vehicle home were professional and very pleasent. This is why I renewed with them when I got a new car without checking if I could get a cheaper deal. The quote was very fair and it gives me confidence to have cover with Start.”

“Only had one occasion, fortunately, to call Start Rescue out because of a failure of the alternator in my car. The response was immediate and the service to collet the car and myself to a garage of my choice was excellent. Everyone was just so helpful.”
