Some years ago a friend of mine mentioned the SoundID Refference software to me. I bought the headphones version, and latere on I upgraded to the speaker + microphone version. Since I use this, my mixing choices are much better. Now recently I bought the Virual Monitring add-on, which makes the experience of mixing on headphones again another level better. I'm very pleased with this !

Sonarworks SoundId is absolutely awesome! If you play, record, or mix music, this software is exactly what you need. No more guessing how your mix will sound on different devices – Sonarworks takes care of it for you. Calibrating headphones and speakers is a breeze, and the result? Sound so precise that it feels like you're in a professional studio, even if you're just chilling in your living room. I love how it makes mixing so much easier – everything sounds cleaner, more balanced, and real. I also really appreciate the user-friendly interface, which is easy to navigate even for beginners. And if you play bass guitar (which I do), it’s a total game-changer – I can finally hear all the low-end details exactly as they should be. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their sound to a whole new level! Just to keep it balanced – there’s a small technical issue when using the VST3 version in Cubase: changing the sample rate causes SoundID to crash Cubase. For now, you can work around it by using the VST2 version of the plugin. I hope the engineers will fix this problem soon. Thank you for making great plugins!

I can only write good things about this part. I haven't experienced any problems. Which would later be a great help if a rent-to-own system were developed, because as a hobby musician, not everyone can afford to spend so much at once. However, the product is totally worth the price.

Customer experience was solid. Loved that the sale ran as long as it did. Used a trial before and loved the software (headphone only). Everything in the store worked fine, email receipts were delivered promptly.

Sonarworks is fantastic. I bought an educational headphones license and boy oh boy it really helps to know that what I do on my headphones will translate well to other systems. It’s crazy how huge the change was with correction on. Now I know why my mixes were not so great in the past. It was a pleasure to speak to Ugis about the educational discount!

Sonarworks worked for me. I am a complete newbie to audio, even though my system is old-school. Large, passive and traditional room speakers; a large and bulky amplifier, pre-amp, dac and streamer. That's how I listen to music. Other room measurement programs I tried out for free were above my ability. I was put off by their learning curve. So, I tried Sonarworks. It was a totally different experience. Sophisticated, but broken down into digestible steps. Baby steps you could say. I worked through them one at a time...following along. Clumsily at first…repeating the first few steps until I got them right. Sonarworks made it easy for me to stop and start again, as I got comfortable with each step. In the end, I got what I was after, which was a measurement of my room acoustics. I wanted something I could use as a baseline where I could then use my system EQ to offset what Sonarworks taught me about my room. Sonarworks came through perfectly. Now I have the sound I was looking for. I cannot say enough good things about Sonarworks. It works. Especially if you want software that will take you by the hand step by step. (I bought the entire package so I did not have to worry about any compatibility issues between the mic, cable, etc.). I used Sonarworks with a Focusright Solo that I bought for this purpose. I did not use the feature that automatically corrects your music, because I am not using my PC as my music source. If I ever do, Sonarworks benefits will be that much more. For now, I am completely satisfied with my investment and the results I got. I don't see any other software out there that is remotely comparable. Thank you Sonarworks!

I bought sonarworks reference 4 when I needed it the most. It has improved on the sound quality on my speakers since I unfortunately don't have the perfect room to produce music in. The process was seamless when setting up the software to my studio room. I sometimes have problems calibrating my headphones but the support system has been really good to me… when I make it a high priority they’re willing to go out of their way to fix the issue.

Ottimo prodotto, molto utile per il mixaggio in cuffia. È indispensabile per avere un ascolto corretto. Molto utili le funzioni e la semplicità di utilizzo.

The idea is good and the way it's visually designed gives you that feeling of "ok, now that I activated it, at least I don't have to doubt my monitoring", which ideally has productive upsides (but also potential "masquerading" downsides, of course). It works really well on my headphones - and solala on my monitors in my untreated room. But I wouldn't use it, if it wasn't an improvement. Having said that: From a technical perspective it's the most annoying and unstable piece of software I ever had to endure. It constantly crashes in systemwide-mode or just completely sinks the whole DAW in plugin-mode. It also seems super ressource-demanding for an EQ and always makes a big deal of switching from the DAW to other stuff etc. My worst experience so far was when it completely erased my audio drivers (or rather basic audio functions?). But not in a "ok, I just gotta reinstall them"-way, but in a "great, now I have to spend my whole day in forums"-way. Just like that.

Finding the product was easy as it's pretty much industry standard, but that's where my good experience ended. Installation was easy but I can't get passed the 37 point scan, I can't even get 1 scan done, support have been useless taking 1 week to reply each time and then just referring me to help articles, this doesn't help at all, I managed to scan left t and right but anything else it can't pick up my mic, I'm seriously at the point of asking for my money back so I can go to another company. It'd be nice for someone to actually help me.

I use SoundID Reference and VoiceID and I am very satisfied. My only comment is Windows Drivers. Sometimes when using Tidal or YouTube I hear crackling and other unwanted sounds that can be irritating. Using a DAW with ASIO, everything works flawlessly. Integration with Apollo is also great. SoundID Reference is an almost ESSENTIAL product for every Mixing Studio.

first off, I messed up my accounts by setting up a new one although I already had one. So I quite couldn't get my head around how to upgrade from my previous version. But customer service was quick to help so the issue was solved. I am very pleased with the overall design and functionality of the latest version of the software, especially its full background integration that spares me the hassle of having to switch output routing every time I change my DAW or other app.
