“The Sonarworks products are excellent, and the company has been easy to deal with. There is a huge amount of helpful information available on their Web site, although it can be a bit tricky to quickly find at times. Overall, I feel the SoundID products provide great value for money, and highly professional results. There is a learning curve but that is to be expected.”

“It's a great tool. I always use it. It has helped me fine tune all of my speakers, all of my headphones so that I have a consistent sound balance. Actually it tunes my ears to a less colorful aestehtics.”

“Thus far, I'm very pleased. The difference this plugin makes - whichever of my headphones I'm using - is like night and day. I literally feel as though I'm truly hearing my music for the first time. As a "bedroom producer" (a new one, at that), this plugin helps me get the most out of my headphones, which are the primary way I listen, since I'm usually editing at night, while others are sleeping.”

“Great calibration program. I dont have a lot of room treatment cause i'm probably moving anytime soon. So the Sonarworks reference is a perfect tool to let me mix in the room im working in. After the setup the sound is really different. The low is less boosted and the overall sound is really neutral. Just like you want it to be. I also wanted to callibrate the headphones but my headphone wasnt an option. I recommended to make a file for it leaving a message on the internet page. Hope they will make one for it.”

“Easy purchase and excited to try. I use an RME Fireface UFX2 and it’s driver is not supported by the add on. I didn’t know this when I bought it so basically it’s not useable for me and a waste of $50. I was excited to try it. Just going to keep using can opener after my Sonarworks plugin in Cubase Pro control room. Love my Sonarworks HD650 headphones and software !”

“The Sonarworks website allowed me to quickly find out if this would be a useful product for tracking and mixing during recording and post-production. I use Sennheiser HD 400 Pro phones for practice, recording, and mixdown. It was pretty simple to find the headphone list and then find that the HD 400s were supported. I did a lot of A/B testing with the plugin enabled and bypassed. All the music is instrumental based using Pianoteq 8, Chromophone 3, Modo Drums and Modo Bass, IK multimedia, and Native Instruments plugins with Logic Pro. This is in addition to guitar through a Line 6 HX Stomp. With all of those sounds perhaps happening at the same time, using the Soundworks ID helped me to quickly focus on frequencies that were either too much or too little in the mix. I then switched to listening on a pair of JBL Series 3 Mark II monitors. Again with Soundworks ID, I was able to hear the differences between the corrected headphones and the JBL monitors. This is extremely helpful for balancing the mix and pre-mastering. I had no issues with the Support Centre. Recommendation: When using the SoundID and Logic Pro, after the initial install, I found that Soudworks added itself to the System Preferences | Sound option. This was in addition to using it on the master stereo out of my DAW. Since I didn't know it was added, I heard a rather significant drop in sound levels, like at least 6db or more. So, it would be nice to have some graphic indicator, maybe in the menu bar that says the plugin is also enabled in the System Prefs Sound option.”
