“Even before buying anything from Sonarworks, I've found a breadth of information about optimizing listening environments that no other vendor of similar software has on offer. The downloadable pamphlets on the theory of sound, speaker calibration, etc. are an incredibly useful resource and ultimately led me to buy SoundID for Headphones. All headphones I use to listen to and produce music, watch movies, and listen to podcasts are supported by the software. The latter is highly customizable and very easy to use. I've noticed no latency or dropouts, and it got even better with the recent Virtual Monitoring add-on, which I was able to trial without any restrictions. As a bonus, Sonarworks' upgrade path is attractive and very customer-friendly. If I ever have an environment where I can use monitors, I'll definitely upgrade to the full SoundID measurement and calibration bundle.”

“Sonarworks has improved my mix sound quality 100-fold since using it for the past 5 years. Customer support is top notch too, I had a problem which was resolved within a few hours. Sonarworks is the holy grail of mix translation.”

“I love the program and I have every version. It’s an indispensable tool for me both as musician as a record producer and sound engineer. Regarding to shopping o don’t remember having any problem before, but this time after purchasing the add on I couldn’t seem to activate it, but after a while I understood that I had to go to the website where I bought it (soundid) and add the key to my account. Just feel strange since I thought it would immediately be added. Anyway, maybe send that it the mail where you buy or even at the end of purchase. Other than that perfects I will say though that this last version has crashes quite a bit when opening sessions it just hangs loading soundid (reaper 7, windows 10) but I’m sure it will be fixed in a next updates it already happened in other versions and then got sorted out with following updates”

“Anybody reading this already knows how good the SoundID Reference system is and consequently why I bought the virtual monitoring add-on, so this review is more about the ease of purchase and the customer support. I downloaded the software simply from the website without having to wonder where the actual file download was like some other online sellers, then the installation package stepped me through absolutely every detail perfectly. I was up and running in no time with no reason to contact support directly. Follow-up emails and suggestions made me feel secure in that fact there was support there if I needed it over here in Australia. I highly recommend Sonarworks products and their ease of purchase and install.”

“I've messaged Sonarworks asking about features before, and actually got an email back telling me they just added the feature I asked about and wanted me to let them know what I thought about it. They also reaponded with excellent technical tips when I had a specific use case in mind! They are responsive and active, which is all too rare nowadays.”

“I’ve owned the system wide version for a wile now and find it to be quite good however, I new virtual speaker add on seems to sound a little bit echoey. I have listened to some commercial songs though the new add on and they don’t really sound right. But they sound ok when I put them back on system wide. Also I can’t switch through the different calibrations wile I’m in cubase because it stop cubase for working. I can only pick a calibration, then I have to click back on cubase page to hear it. If I try to put sound I’d on my control room in cubase, it crashes.”

For the Cubase issue, what you could do is try deleting the config file. See if that helps. “Love sonarworks and what it's able to do for my listening environment. The headphones profiles are good but taken a step further with personalized profile configuration when sent off to them. The work it's able to do for my monitor setup is great too. Shopping and shipping experience has been great as well as attentive support when needed. My only recommendation is to keep working out bugs and fixes within the software. As much as I love sw there is still issue that occur with the systemwide app and qol enhancements to be made. Other than that. Great idea thats helped alot of people”
