“I became interested after seeing some YouTube reviews of the product (most notably Z Reviews). After going to the website and reviewing the choices it was easy and clear to put the order in. The software was available immediately for download and installation (fast and easy). The mic arrived within a week and I had to purchase an audio interface with phantom 45V power, not too hard to find on Amazon. Once installed I did have a hiccup but customer service was fast and helpful, and even though during the holiday season there were proactive follow-ups to ensure I was able to resolve my issues. A to Z all was great and no complaints. Thank you!”

“I am using Sound ID Reference for quite a while now. It has become an essential part in my mixing process. Recently I bought the virtual monitoring add-on to simulate different surroundings. For me, this plug-in is a must have in my daily work. I highly recommend it!”

“I have mixed music in different rooms and studios. Even though most of these rooms were sound-treated, they all had flaws, which would reveal themselves, when listening to my mix in a different environment, other than the "original" room. Since I use Sonarworks SoundID Reference in my control room, I believe, that these flaws are almost eliminated. I calibrated my System with the SoundID Reference microphone and my mixes suddenly sounded more or less the same, no matter in what environment I was listening to them. I feel much more confident about my mixes now and the feedback of my clients confirms the increased quality. Also, with SoundID Reference I can simulate different environments, like "car interior", TV or Laptop, to check whether the low end of the mix is still audible or higher frequencies start to stick out too much. The Sonarworks support centre was always helpful and fast in response. In future editions of the software, I would welcome the possibility to save Presets as actual files in a folder. One can save "calibration profiles" but the presets are stored inside the app (macOS). I will attach a screenshot of the measurement result of my room, to show, how much it was off from being linear on all frequencies.”

“Sonarworks seems like a good company. I tried their product SoundID Reference in the past through a free trial and after waiting a few seasons for my need to become relevant, took advantage of an end-of-the-year sale. Throughout the time receiving friendly, but interesting e-mails to keep my interest piqued. Then when the time was right, I was able to use another trial and decided to invest. All in all, Sonarworks to date has left a good impression.”

“Sonarworks has its sales process in order. The information provided is clear, the website is easy to navigate, and overall Sonarworks makes a professional impression. The different product offers are well explained and the pricing is clear as well. Offering a free trial of the software helps to give confidence, and shows they believe in their products. For me, the only slightly confusing part was separating my purchased product (SoundID Ref for headphones) from the free trial for my monitors. At times, I wasn't completely clear about what was what, which parts I needed to keep, and which I could remove after the trial had ended. This last bit could be automated (maybe it is and I just did not see it...). Overall a very positive experience.”

“When I first purchased the app, I couldn't find a profile for my headphones. Sonarworks kindly asked me to send my pair over as they are quite common, they made a calibration profile and sent them back (with an individual calibration profile!) Talk about customer service! The app itself is effortless to use and gets the job done when critical listening is required. Now that I'm building a dedicated home studio, it's a no brainer to upgrade to the speaker calibration software.”
