What would have been a perfect transaction was spoilt by poor customer care. I did not like the attitude of the person that dealt with me however he did apologise. The instructions on page 11 was not clear. I used the the activation code there instead of the one emailed to me. I got there in the end. Would use again though.

I am normally very hesitant to purchase software online and found my first experience with Software Geeks to go very smoothly through all stages. I can see myself relying on Software Geeks to provide further software requirements, at which time, I will be better to provide a better rating of their service. To date, the first experience has been positive.

Code worked, although installation instructions for upgrade did not work as written and the upgrade process was frustrating although that's more to do with Microsoft than anything else

At first I couldn't get it to work even following the instructions, it was only after reading through it for the the fourth time that I realised most of the instructions that were not needed and only the last page was necessary to help with my installation, I believe if the instruction were re-written then this would be an easy five star rating.

Windows 10 pro ordered and licence received promptly. Followed the instructions very closely and have now got a very cheap Win 10 pro installation which activated correctly.. I do wonder how they achieve the low price.

I bought the vista to windows 7 upgrade which is working perfectly now. The download was quite lengthy and it took a couple of attempts to complete. When installing, the installation wasn't quite what was stated but after following the on screen instructions it did install successfully after a couple of attempts, again quite a lengthy process but then these upgrades normally are. I purchased on a Friday and it was all up and running by midday Saturday. Windows updates and security install taking up a lot of the time. Overall I was very pleased with the service although there were some glitches which I managed to work around. A good product and would purchase from Geeks again if they had a product I wanted. Good value for money.

I purchased a reconditioned laptop with Win7 home premium. I was quite pleased with the price but wouldn't bother with the fast delivery which took 3 full days + w/end. The Laptop was exactly as described. I had a few minor teething problems (BIOS not finding HDD) for which the start up diagnostics failed to find any cause but BIOS found HDD when restarted. The same problem recurred again on the following two days at start up including a BSOD episode but it has worked perfectly since all the windows updates have been installed. I do not know how good the telephone support is having not tried it but the e-mail support@valucomputers.co.uk failed to answer any of my three e-mails I did not install Bullgard AV as I prefer Avast (free) Overall I am still satisfied with my purchase having had a better choice and warranty than available locally
