“Excellent service”

“I have called out an engineer from SGS twice recently, once for a boiler problem and once to service and repair a gas fire. On both occasions I was offered appointments quickly and the repairs were satisfactorily carried out by friendly and efficient staff who explained exactly what they were doing.”

“Appalling customer service. I was told that an engineer would be out in the morning between 9 and 12 to service my boiler. When nobody had arrived by 1230 I called and was told that the engineer was just leaving his previous customer. When he still hadn't arrived by 2pm I called again and was told that he was on his way. I was then called back to say that he wasn't on his way at all as he'd been called to an emergency somewhere else. They were going to send someone else who was "on his way" but I told them not to bother. I wouldn't have minded if they'd had the courtesy to call me and let me know what was happening rather than me having to keep calling them and then being told that he was on his way when he obviously wasn't.”

“We have entered into a contract with SGS for the continued maintenence of our heating system and boiler. It has been identified that some work needs to be done to remove the exclusion clauses you have placed against our system and I understand this is going to take place in June but to date no appointment has been made or if it has we have not received any communication regarding it. Our past experience of heating engineers, and plumbers coming to our home has to say the least been absoloutely unacceptable and in a desperate last ditch effort we have entered into our contract with you to ensure we get the best professional service that should be expected by any home owner. Hopefully that will be proven when you have finally updated our system with what needs to be done in June. The engineer who came to our home definitly appeared to know what he was talking about and gave us the confidence that we should not be placed in the unsatisfactory situation we have been in over many years and poor workmanship from other plumbers and heating engineers that have attempted to keep our heating system serviceable and safe. We were happy with your engineers visit and we look forward to seeing what we have been told being carried out.”
