Ok - bit too slow to process

This is our 5/6th Year with SafeContractor and found the process very difficult to gain accreditation. The category our business falls into required us to have CDM's (Construction) which we could not provide due to our scope of works so had to change category to non construction. Feedback to SafeContractor to look at the various categories for scope of works moving forward. We hold many quality accreditations throughout the Company and are regularly audited and achieve re-certification every time. Will be re-thinking this accreditation next year.

Additional help was offered when complying with all sections generally very good will know more for next year should be smoother so overall good

A wonderfully rigorous process, which is very well supported. A lot of ‘accreditations’ simply require payment with a badge.. This is different.. Thank you from us at Owen-Taylor Group Ltd @dtcleaninguk

We have normally experienced good service but unfortunately this year this was not the case. Our original application was filed on 2nd March 2022 however we did not have a responce until 25th. Our SafeContractor year ended 31st March. Between clients harassing us for our renewal and SafeContractors lack of response, we were in danger of losing contracts by the 19th of April all was well. This time scale is unacceptable. SafeContractoe makes the rules for both client and contractor, the least they can do is facilitate keeping those rules

A long drawn out process which wasted a lot of time. They also requested that we instigated processes that would financially affect the business, and that were not required by law.

SafeContractor is the worst company that we have the misfortune to deal with but our hands are tied because some of our clients insist on SafeContractor accreditation. Hhopefully they will change their mind one day.

Certain evidence was not not requested at the initial stage, which delayed the overall assessment and meant our accreditation lapsed for a few extra days - this could have been avoided. Also, only have of the assessment was checked, and I only discovered an error at my end when I chased up the assessment. Nothing had been sent from Santia, which result in the accreditation lapsing. Once this was addressed, it was cleared up quickly.

I found the process easy to follow, with excellent guides and help online. So I felt supported throughout the process. I also got really helpful support from the auditor, who was able to explain what was required and speedily review the evidence I sent in. All round excellent customer service.

Like all H&S it is a task of uploading all the documents to their portal but even after paying extra for express the process took 2 weeks longer than it should have and the pre-checks missed some technical details that should have picked up before the audit.

Thank you for your feedback! The TSO's role is to support contractors gather the majority of the information ready for the auditor to assess. The TSO’s wouldn’t go into the same level of detail as the auditor so the auditor may pick up some discrepancies within the documents they are assessing. The TSO's role is to simply support the contractor with the type of documentation the auditor would like to see. We are in the process of amending this process and we’re aiming at getting all the relevant documentation upfront prior to the file being passed to the auditor. Hopefully on renewal the contractor will have a much better process moving forward.
