I found the process easy to follow, with excellent guides and help online. So I felt supported throughout the process. I also got really helpful support from the auditor, who was able to explain what was required and speedily review the evidence I sent in. All round excellent customer service.

Like all H&S it is a task of uploading all the documents to their portal but even after paying extra for express the process took 2 weeks longer than it should have and the pre-checks missed some technical details that should have picked up before the audit.

Thank you for your feedback! The TSO's role is to support contractors gather the majority of the information ready for the auditor to assess. The TSO’s wouldn’t go into the same level of detail as the auditor so the auditor may pick up some discrepancies within the documents they are assessing. The TSO's role is to simply support the contractor with the type of documentation the auditor would like to see. We are in the process of amending this process and we’re aiming at getting all the relevant documentation upfront prior to the file being passed to the auditor. Hopefully on renewal the contractor will have a much better process moving forward. If you have any further queries about how this works then please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team directly.

My experience is of e mails that are not replied to, missed appointments with no explanation and unreturned phone calls, all after payment was made. The only professional interaction was with Megan and her professionalism is what I expected. I am waiting for a reschedled meeting this Friday at 11.00am for a sustainability questionnaire. It remains to be seen if he will make the call this time. The reason for not responding to my e mail and not keeping our appointment was his "his in box was crazy and full".

I'm so frustrated with safe contractor, every year we submit the infomation the certificate expires by many days and then someone contacts us after the expiry date to request further information. We pay money for a service that is shoddy and unprofessional, I have no problems answering the questions of safe contractor, but I expect them to be asked prior to the expiry date of our certificate and not after. Its embarrasing to us as a compnay when we can't provide the certificate requested by clients. Unfortunatly no matter how many times i point this out safe contractor ignore it.

Hi ESH Installation Ltd, Thank you for your feedback. We truly value the insights we receive from our customers, and in response to your feedback, we've made an improvement. Previously, you could submit the renewal questionnaire 30 days before your expiry date. Now, we've extended that window to 60 days before expiry, giving you an additional 30 days to complete the submission. We hope this change makes a positive difference as you prepare for next year! Best regards, SafeContractor

Curtis Hillberg, Customer Care assistant was fantastic, brilliant. Safecontractor must promote this man, give him the opportunity he deserves.

No major issues, however being a single person company a number of “Required” questions are aimed at employment etc, something I don’t do. Took a phone call to explain / sort out but otherwise fairly straightforward

Only seem to hear from SafeContractor when the money was due for Re-Accreditation. Not much help throughout the rest of the year. However, it is good to get accreditations for your company. I would like to get more assistance throughout the year. Quite costly compared to other accreditations. On a positive note, SafeContractor is very thorough with the initial process & aims for a high standard of Health & Safety.

Overall experience was good. The only slight issue I have had is the delay in the accreditation team coming back to you after they have requested further information/evidence on various questions. Once this information was provided we had no response and had to chase for an update.

It was incredibly difficult to navigate and the information requested was above and beyond our usual annual submission. Providing financial information was unnecessary and achieved nothing to the process and asking for references was largely irrelevant as the provision of the submission should have been enough. There were IT issues that meant we had to submit the information twice, creating a lot of unnecessary work. The entire process was lengthy and it is felt that we gain little benefit from accreditation and will seriously look at other avenues next year.

I feel the renewal process is far too overcomplicated. I understand to achieve the initial accreditation a considerable amount of documentation and evidence is required, however, the renewal process needs to be streamlined. Having recently gone through the process, I found myself having to submit documentation already submitted initially, for example, procedures, policies, training certificates, the focus should only be any changes and updated information that has an expiry date, for instance, an insurance certificate, QHSE Policy etc. All the accreditations we hold, such as our ISO certificates, FPAL, Achilles, ISN, F4N to name but a few all accept documentation already submitted and focus on compliance and improvements. I was contacted by a pre-auditor to provide a whole library of evidence, most of which was submitted the previous year. A few emails later, as I suspect the individual did not fully understand the evidence submitted, I was then contacted by the auditor. Again further evidence was requested, some of which had already been submitted to the pre-auditor. In short, the Safecontractor renewal process is far too over-complicated and in essence, is nothing short of applying for accreditation from scratch.
