“Items ordered and confirmed 22 December 2025 on 2-5 days delivery, and arrived 7 January 2026. Nothing in company website to inform customers of when last orders should be to receive them before 16 days have passed. If there is a Christmas/ New Year shut down just tell prospective customers so; they can either accept that or look elsewhere. It beats not knowing and then getting bogus carriage information which implies DX will be delivering 2-5 days from 29 December 2025 but don’t show up for another 8 days. Remember the old adage ‘bad news does not improve for keeping’. Tell customers the situation early on so their expectations are set at the right level, and they are left pleased when they are met, not frustrated and disappointed which, guess what, is where I am. I also would suggest using Royal Mail or DPD, both of which have been making deliveries through the Christmas /New Year period, barring Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.”

“Good piece of kit. Assembly instruction hard to follow especially not realising that pivot bars have to fully engaged into slot to stop bike tilting over . Needed a tap with mallet to fully secure.”

“So respectful, upbeat and helpful on the phone. Helped my identify the correct parts I needed to fit my vehicle. Ordering process on their website is good and easy. All great. I mark them down one star (perhaps unfairly) as I had an issue with their delivery contractor (DX) who failed to deliver next day as promised. £10 wasted. The following day, the parts had still not arrived and Roof-bars stated on the phone that there was nothing they could do. I informed them that if they failed to arrive by the end of the day, I would have to cancel my holiday and that I would hold them responsible. I asked if they could send out another item by same day courier. They said they couldn’t. As it turned out, the parts arrived an hour later so all ok. I’m disappointed they couldn’t do more, though. No offer to refund the £10 next day delivery charge either.”

“Delivery was fast, lacked delivery updates it just arrived dragged to my door. Just a bit of a surprise. Product was good. The roof bar assembly instruction were incorrect, found an easy YouTube video of how to install the rubber inserts. Overall good product and great services”

“The Thule velocompact 924 is excellent. Fits well and Carry’s two bikes with no problem. The u-bar the bike holders sits on did come loose, but that’s certainly my fault and not a failing of the bike rack at all. Really great product.”

“The website and speed of dispatch were excellent. However, the courier firm used (DX) were appalling. They failed to come on a couple of days, lied about leaving a calling card and then, after a complaint, gave me a time-slot the next day, which my wife waited in for. When the courier finally arrived two hours late, he dropped the parcel (causing minor damage) and told me that he didn’t even start until the time-slot began. Great from roof-bars.co.uk, but very poor from DX.”

“Roof bars themselves are a great product fitted well with no messing around, but there are four holes in the top of the rail which have caps are supplied to fit into the holes these are awful simply just fit well at all . I had to cut them down then apply expanding foam into the hole and tape the clips flush to the rail . Jobs a good one now but a pain to do .”

“The delivery was quick and the product as advertised. The only downside is that the component boxes came squeezed and packed in a simple bubble wrap. Did not look very professional. Other than that, all good”

“It was delivered on time, The product is what I wanted, My only disappointment was there was no lock and key with the equipment ( which was not advertised) and no instructions how to install my key from my original/broken item being replaced.”
