“I decided to replace my ageing roller door with a new black electric one. It was very simple to measure up and get an instant quote online with immediate chat support when required. There are a couple of recommendations I think need to be highlighted to customers but nothing major; 1. If installing an external override the power supply ordered with the door must be on the same side as your installing the override. My garage only has one external side wall and it’s the other side to where the plugs etc are so I had to run a new cable across to enable fitting of the override. 2. Some more detail on what the trim colour actually is as it’s at an additional cost but if installing behind the lintel is pretty much irrelevant as nothing is visible. I had to use the chat button to clarify this. 3. An idiots guide to what the additional accessories are for, it’s assumed the buyer knows what they’re used for e.g. rubber bottom strip, different motors etc. Me and the neighbour installed the door as he had ordered one recently and done it himself. It was very easy provided you have the correct tools particularly for the external override (25mm long drill bit). One side of my garage opening wasn’t true so we had to pack the top of the runner away from the wall a bit using washers on the fixing screws to ensure it was vertical all the way down and sealed the gap with clear silicone (the houses fault not the product) I’d recommend installing the top box slightly lower than the top of the opening so that a bead of silicone can be run along to seal any minor drafts that may get in through the small gap. From start to finish including removing the old door it took 1/2 a day and was easy, the electrics involve very minor experience just attaching a couple of wires into terminals. The door looks amazing and opens/shuts faster than my neighbours so the motors must’ve been upgraded recently. Brilliant product and cost effective 10/10”

“I was very impressed with the service I received from 'Rollerdor' at the measuring and ordering stage. My questions about fixing, particularly the fitting of an external override were answered quickly and effciently. The delivery process was on time and prompt. The quality of the door seems extremely good and good value for money at this early stage after fitting. I have been in the building trade for over 30 years but this is the first time I have fitted any type of electric roller door. I downloaded 'Rollerdors' fitting instructions from your website but found them lacking detail in many areas and in some areas confusing and sometimes incorrect. I feel that some of the confusion could be reduced if you added a video to your website.”

“I had a metal framed open car port which I wanted to turn into a secure garage. I have a disability, so needed an electric garage door but two local companies had quoted me stupid money. I found Rollerdor online and their quote was nearly half the price! Their helpful surveyor came out to look at the opening and measure up, explaining to me that I needed to build a wooden frame to the opening on which to fit the door. I did this then measured the opening and ordered the door. Matthew in sales quickly answered all my questions. The fitters travelled from Wales to the Scottish border to put the door up. Despite getting up at 4.30am they were cheerful and friendly and did a very neat job. I am delighted with my door. The ground isn't level so when the weather gets better I'll need to fit a garage door strip to the floor, plus the existing metal frame still needs to be painted and some new roofing panels put on (hence the tarpaulin in the pictures) so it isn't finished yet, but the door itself is just what I wanted. The mechanism works well, although it's a bit noisier than I was expecting, and the box takes up less room inside than I thought it would. There was a power cut 2 weeks after having the door put on, and I did have to leave home in an emergency as my Mum was ill which meant using the manual winder to raise the door. This was much harder than I'd imagined and the manual winder was really hard to use (it needs to be rigid not flexibly jointed), but so far that's my only criticism. Overall I'm delighted with the door and the company and would highly recommend.”

“I feel the door should require a sensor stop as standard. I didn’t realise the door would continue to attempt to close if even a small object was left in the way. I appreciate that the sensor is a sellable add on but as a consumer I’m surprised that the version I have is considered safe. On two occasions a small object has caused the doors motor to continue to close and eventually pull the grips off the track at the top causing some damage. This is a fault in the regs rather than the door. All doors should need a sensor in my opinion and therefore the cheaper version is redundant So as a consumer..buy the sensor basically. As the seller… consider the non sensor being practical”
