“I have quite an extensive Rohan wardrobe now and find it very convenient to order online then collect from your store in Newcastle. I enjoy my visits and interactions with your lovely staff, who greet me like an old friend and are really helpful. Also I'm able to try on what I've ordered and return it if doesn't fit - this hardly ever happens however as I've got to know what works for me and what doesn't. I find it helpful also to see and feel the garments for myself. Some of your fabrics in recent years are not nearly such good quality as previously which is a great pity. Also I am quite often disappointed by the colour selection of new ranges, a lot of recent garments have either been big blocks of very bright colours (orange, vivid green, not good for a larger garment like a raincoat) or some awfully dull or washed out colours. I trained in textile design so I might be being extra picky, but quite honestly most of my Rohan wardrobe is made up of black or navy trousers in various designs. I also have a beautiful smart navy coat that I wore to my daughter's wedding in Iceland - it certainly kept me warm! When you get a range of attractive colours that are good for me I will buy t-shirts, tops and matching fleeces when I can. I have bought tops from you in the past that are still serving me well and I would buy more, but sadly they've been discontinued and in some cases replaced with inferior versions. I have several Rohan waterproofs for different seasons - these are excellent, very good quality and have lasted a few years now. Please could you include on your garment descriptions whether or not the zip is double-ended? It drives me mad not to be able to tell purely from looking carefully at the photographs, and I have to come to the shop to find out for myself.”

“Bought Rohan for 10 years or so . Excellent service and long lasting products . Just bought Brecon Waterproof , disappointed with side pockets as the covers do not protect the zips at all . First time I have seen such an obvious design fault . Hence 4 stars .”

“I have been wearing Rohan clothing for well over 10 years now and find the quality of their products to be excellent. I have yet to have a jacket, pair of trousers , fleece etc wear out...I usually pass on clothing to family who continue to get many more years from the kit. Its the only way I can buy a new item from Rohan as I need to make space! Their sales are usually good value as I do find some jackets and trousers to be a bit pricey, especially as I am now a pensioner.”

“I have shopped with Rohan for 40 years. My wardrobe and draws are full of Rohan gear; I wear little else. However, over the past few years the increase in prices has started to put me off. Still relatively good value, when bought at sale times.”

“Good quality product but as previously reported the distance from the crotch to the top of the waistband needs to be longer. Currently it is 20cm making it difficult to sit nicely on the waist. Another 2cm would be a better fit. I prefer the press stud fastening to the button and the old waist with the internal strip was far better. Basically what I am saying is that the older trousers were better.”

“An excellent base layer - light weight and easy to wear but warm enough to work well with a thicker mid-layer. Only reservation to date was the fabric looked to have lost some shape after a first wash. However, other than that, am very pleased with yet another highly useful and wearable product from Rohan.”

“Always great service and very helpful staff. ** 1 point I’d like to highlight, the polo shirt I bought is very long. I see this in a lot of the Rohan clothing. I’ll bet you could reduce the length by 2-3 inches. It’d look more fashionable and appealing to a younger clientele.”

“What I find really frustrating is the constant changing of styes. I want to buy some more Highground trousers, but you have nothing like it at the moment. I used to buy On-Route, then Ranger. Similarly, I used to wear Microgrid Zip neck tops, but you started selling them only in very bright colours so now I wear Patagonia and Alpkit.”

“I am a long standing customer of Rohan; my wardrobe is full of Rohan clothes and accessories. Over the last couple of years you have stocked less items, in particular clothes which can be worn outside the hills, and the colours have been less than attractive. I have been disappointed with the choice of styles and colours.”
