About Rohan:

Rohan is a much loved and iconic British travel and outdoor clothing brand with a heritage spanning more than four decades. Established by two outdoor enthusiasts in North Yorkshire in 1972, Rohan set out to challenge the status quo. With five founding principles that clothing should always be protective, lightweight, packable, versatile and easy-care, Rohan radically re-thought the way people dressed for the outdoors.

I have bought Rohan clothing for many many years, bought my first pair of winter bags back in the late 80s I think, I still have a shirt it must be 25 years old I wear in the summer. Never had issues with delivery, returns, refunds. But I am know trying to change my shopping habits in these days of enviromental issues. I bought a pair of Amblers, the label says 95% polyester, to much, also a pair of the Merino wool mens boxers, both items bought in the sale, prices of there items are very expensive too, they contain polyester too. Thats to much plastic. Why is everything made in china, one of the biggest country with the worst pollution issues. I am sure the Rohan clothing I have will last me years, but sadley will not be buying there products in future.

I bought a re-water proofing product and sadly it didn't make any difference.

I returned two purchases as I found the quality so poor compared with earlier year. I bought a fleece 20 years ago which is still warm but the zipp has gone. The trousers had no zipp on or fastening.

Following a number of e mail communications with Rohan, I felt obliged to send one with the following : Hello again, and thanks for the reply. I would just like to comment, for your further information, this was only the second time the jacket had been washed, and we had noticed it was 'wetting out' a while ago. It has never been exposed to anything anywhere near 20,000 hh ! The jacket was washed exactly as per the Rohan website instructions. The jacket has a loose lining as well as whatever waterproof bonding on the outer surface of the jacket. So it is not possible to see the waterproof membrane. I have numerous other Rohan articles, dating back about 30 years, as has my wife, including waterproofs which, according to your definition, are probably U/S now ! We bought items because of their quality, and believing they would give many years service. However, we have felt that Rohan, perhaps because of changes of ownership, were becoming more of a fashion conscious, disposable outfitter, rather than a serious outdoor outfitter. Nowhere in Rohan publicity, online or otherwise, does it state that the waterproofs will have a useful lifetime of up to 5/6 years. 'Caveat Emptor - let the buyer beware ! I will, of course, share such knowledge where useful. I would have given 2 1/2 stars if possible, because of the general quality and longevity of previous Rohan purchases, which I happily use to this day, especially trousers. But I would only say 'God Help You' if you thought of venturing up serious British uplands in the waterproof jackets, let alone Everest, as was claimed in some of the original Rohan literature. viz re 1978 "Alpinists were hard task masters. Garment failure was not an option. Rohan learnt the trade in a hard school. Rohan’s answer was Windlord Fabric. A fabric developed by and only available from Rohan in the late 1970s.' Used climbing Everest ! So, I have a loyalty to Rohan, but it will not be unquestioning henceforth. Caveat Emptor.

I returned an order recently as it became clear that the items were made in China. In view of the repressive and undemocratic nature of the ruling C C P, you should reconsider where you source your products. Continuing to trade with them provides them with legitimacy and sustains them in their brutal disrespect for basic human rights.

Hardly purchasing anything since our local shop closed. Buying on line is hit and miss and expensive. Rohan used to be my go-to shop.

Bought Ecco Exohyke boots to replace Ecco Track 25 . Very disappointed that Unlike Track 25 they let in water at laces/tongue area. Both boots leak in same way so its a design fault. I think they will end up at the charity shop.

I ordered two Shoreline long sleeved tops. The telephone ordering system was relatively easy. In the past I brought several Stria tops which is a great garment although over considerable time and many washes they begin to develop small bobbles and do not look quite so smart. Like many successful products, Rohan rightly or wrongly have decided to rebrand them and Shoreline tops are now the replacement for the successful Stria tops. Shoreline tops are an inferior product. Whilst the colours are good, the material is thin and they have a huge black label on the back of the neckline and the black thread shows through the material. Had I seen them in a Rohan shop I might have thought twice about buying them but Rohan closed my nearest store which I used to patronise a lot. Please Rohan stick to what you are good at and do not change the names or of your most popular products - I am not adverse to updating the product providing it does not compromise quality.

I've worn Rohan clothes almost exclusively since the late 1990s. However, over this time I have seen a drop in quality and functionality for standard items. For example, I have some black bags that were bought about 15 years ago (at least) - the colour in them is still strong. In contrast, bags I bought a few years ago are made of a different material and the black has faded to brown/black and to the point where they just look scruffy. I just bought another couple of pairs and see sadly that they are still made of the same, poorer quality material. I used to like Trailblazers, but you have reduced pockets and pocket depth year on year so they are now a poor substitute for the orignal version. I would pay a premium for a quality product so it is sad to see this degradation from a company I used to really like.

Love Rohan Clothing. Started off with a pair of troggings about 10 years ago after being nagged by Husband to buy “quality” now have more or less whole wardrobe from boots to tops, trousers to shift dresses. Fantastic quality and fit and lasts forever.

I love Rohan gear normally but this microgrid full zip fleece is very poor. I've had 3 of these before and they were fantastic in size, comfort, looks, versatility etc, but they've changed a winning formula and made sleeves 2" longer, and a collar that flops all over the place and is very badly designed. I understand they have reverted to original design now, so check which version you are buying.

Everything was good accept for the most important aspect - the size. The 8S jeans did not fit. I have more than 6 pairs of Rohan 8S including venture jeans. They all still fit so it is not me that has changed. For online shopping to work it really does require consistent sizing across the ranges.

Trading on past glories! Questionable quality; far too expensive; and the design is not as ‘cutting edge’ as you seem to think. You have ‘tinkered’ too much with items that used to be so much better.

First Rohan purchase. Sizing info inaccurate so bought size which in fact too big. (Noticed smaller size out of stock at that time). Returned for exchange but smaller size still out of stock, so had to have refund - but not for shipping charge. If sizing correct I would not have purchased item, so I have paid for postage for nothing but inconvenience! Rohan people pleasant otherwise 1 *.

Many companies have no issues with still shipping to EU countries so why the problems? Hope you clarify what’s required soon - maybe look at the solutions other businesses are using?

I used to love this jacket, I have had it for about 18 months and it LEAKS! I arrive home with a wet back when I have had the hood up. I love the style and the longer length but not impressed. I would not buy another one. I have just looked at the labels I took off it when I bought it and although it says it is waterproof it is not guaranteed.

Service as always good but what has happened to the shape/style of the women’s walking trousers? Always used to buy Roamers but these now come as hipsters and for walking a waist fitting trouser is more comfortable for me. Then tried Troggings but these were a similar fit. Rohan Fleet trousers are excellent for summer walking but don’t appear to have an autumn/winter equivalent.

Quality control could be better, jeans bought recently had a leg seam that was twisted. My recent purchase of walking trousers had a rear pocket that was not attached at the top. Disappointed for expensive clothing.
