“Our work was carried out by Craig, who well merits a 5 star rating. From a first contact phone call through to completion everything was good . We will use them if we have another problem, and we have no hesitation in recommending them.”

“An excellent job from start to finish. Great service from Melvin work started promptly on the agreed date. The technicians were polite and worked really hard to make sure that the job was carried out very efficiently thanks particularly to the efforts of Stewart Michael and Lewis. Site was tidied up and left clean every night. Finally the plasterer who really put the finishing touch to the work. All coordinated by Daren and involved three different contractors. Thank you all a really good job. Price , quite high but was of high quality and hassle free, worth it absolutely. Thanks all who were involved.”

“Major issues with wet rot, Richardson and Starling were great from start to finish. The joiners Richard and Malkie were fantastic, very professional, polite and accommodating. I had other tradesmen coming in for other works and they worked around them to make things easier, I am so grateful for their time and patience during a difficult time. Excellent job done and would highly recommend.”

“Phoned the Kirkcaldy branch with an urgent survey request. The staff were incredibly helpful and arranged a survey very quickly. Jack came out to do the survey and was really helpful and informative. We ended up not getting the work done at this stage as we needed to wait but would highly recommend this company.”

“I have had a lot of work done due to dampness the guys that were doing the work have done an excellent job they explained everything all the way through if we had any questions they were more than helpful very pleasant guys from the Ayr branch there names were David Armstrong plasterer and josh Jones apprentice plasterer thank you so much David and josh”

“I had my bathroom floor replaced by Stevie James from Richardson and Starling today 17th August 2022, this staff member was extremely professional, explained exactly what he was doing and why, very polite and pleasant manner, probably one of the nicest workers I have ever dealt with, I have a disabled daughter and he took on board keeping the job as un-intrusive with minimal disturbance as my daughter is Autistic. Mr James got on with the job and done a very good job of recovering a very old floor in order for a council bathroom refit due tomorrow. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism, kindness and tidiness of the job undertaken. Mr James went above and beyond by removing some bath tidy items that appeared to be stuck to the tiling by locating where they were screwed on and removing them for me, he also left absolutely no mess whatsoever on completion of his work. I am rating Stevie James a 5 star rating due to all of the above as I am 100% satisfied with the work carried out to a very high standard. I would highly recommend Richardson and Starling to anyone looking for complete professionalism.”

“I contacted Richardson & Starling to treat my property for woodworm. Mr Arthur Blower came out and surveyed the property he was very knowledgeable and a few days later I was sent the pack with the price, which was very reasonable for the work to be carried out. I kept Richardson & Starling informed on the progress to get the property ready for spraying. I was contacted by Darcy and Greg once to see if I was ready as they had an opening they were both very polite and professional. The first two times the property wasn't ready to be sprayed. I contacted the office last week to say we were ready and they fitted me in over 2 days this week. I them received a call on Monday to ask if Tuesday would be okay as they had an opening and it would only be one day to spray the property with 2 men. I accepted this date and today Mike and Evan arrived. It only took them half a day to spray as the floorboards and roof space had been opened up for them and most of the cobwebs had been removed from the roof timbers. Both Mike and Evan were very professional and I would highly recommend Richardson & Starling's Dumfries branch.”

“Highly recommend!! Tarbolton. Very happy with a job well done!! Turned up on time. Repair to dampness on back wall of kitchen. The guys ( David Armstrong, Jordan Reid and Josh Jones) properly prepared all the kitchen with dust coverings/protection and got on with the job. Pleasant and very helpful with David explaining what the job entailed and how they would go about it. When the job was finished they tidied and cleaned up the kitchen to a really good standard, considering there was a lot of dust etc with the work carried out. Fortunately, David's work is way, way better than his singing, haha ;-)”

“Called a few companies who all had a call out charge of £150 + . I called R & S , they were further away but happy to come to us and had NO call out charge. Roddy came to survey , our loft and looked at our home report. He gave us great advice and 2 options . We then had treatment carried out by Billy and Peter who ensured the relevant areas and beyond were treated . I found everyone I spoke to on the phone and everyone who attended the property to be professional,knowledgeable and friendly. A great service , we would definitely recommend Richardson and Starling.”

“Colin J and Mark B gave us 5 star treatment. They worked very hard from the moment they arrived at our house. They explained what they were going to achieve and set about protecting the floor with appropriate materials. They were skilful and professional and didn’t waste any time. After the job was completed, they left everything as clean and tidy as they could make it. I would highly recommend Richard and Starling to anyone seeking repairs to their property.”

“Roddy McKenzie, Surveyor inspected our damp issue and was very professional and honest about the solution, reassuring us that we just had mould as a result of condensation and nothing more serious. We are very grateful that he was thorough in his inspection and clear about how we could solve the issue ourselves. Thank you so much. Gary and Ange Dickson, Irvine.”
