“When we have used comparison sites for insurance, power, broadband, etc, we have not headr from the result organisations until we selected one and made a purchase. With this site we were bombarded with phone calls and emails. We just wanted to see which firms were interested and what the cost was likely to be for when we do get to move.”

“Reallymoving did put me in touch with a number of moving companies, but, due to the fact that the orgiinal questions on the reallymoving.com website were insufficient for the companies to provide quotes, I was bombarded by calls from sales people, asking if I could provide more detail, despite the reallymoving.com website stating that they would email me. I think some work could be done here to liaise with the companies, understand what they need to put together an estimate, and then allow the companies to provide estimates (by email!) which can then be made into proper quotes when you decide to go with that company and provide more detail. That way, the process would be easier to manage, and you don't get your phone ringing off the hook with people trying to sell their products to you.”

We do let you know that your details will be passed on to the firms you were quoted when you registered for quotes (and nobody else). We do not state that this contact will only be via email, as many removals firms prefer to reach out via phone calls. Many users do find it helpful to be contacted directly by our partners, but we understand that some people may prefer to receive fewer calls and to reach out themselves. Whilst we try and make our quotations as accurate as possible, some matters can be more complex than others and therefore, they can only be accurately quoted on a case-by-case basis after a direct conversation with the firm. “Helpful to get instant quotes, but as soon as I opened the link in the email I was relentlessly bombarded by emails and calls from solicitors/surveyors/etc... ReallyMoving needs to outright tell these providers that users are not wantig to immediately work with them, only that they want a quote for now. I'm still getting calls from some of these companies despite telling them to stop, it's really off-putting and ruins my desire to want to work with any of them.”

Though many people do prefer to find a local conveyancer, the service can be carried out remotely and so does not need to be carried out by a local solicitor. Therefore, we will quote solicitors from further afield on occasion. “Be aware - firstly, as I had to provide my phone number, as well as getting an email with the quotes on it, so instead of letting me choose and contact them, all the suppliers then phoned ME to tout their business within half an hour. super annoying. Secondly, one of the quotes said it included a free valuation with the survey, but then when I went to the link, it did not include the survey and I had to contact them before accepting it and am still not sure if they will charge extra. So be careful with the price comparisons they may not be right.”

When you get quotes on reallymoving we say that we put you and the firms in contact with each other, so that they can get any information that may not have been included on the form and may impact your quote. However, we can absolutely understand that getting lots of calls is irritating. “Passed my details onto third parties who have non stop emailed, called and text since. Really annoying - please put some rules in place for which other companies you will work with based on their practices.”

“Received a high volume of calls from removal companies immediately after submitting my inquiry. The quotes provided were much higher than we were willing to pay. I'd suggest going to Anyvan for a more competitive set of quotes for removals.”

“I was really disappointed as after getting the quote from the website, I was then inundated with emails from Reallymoving, and emails and phone calls from 2 of the companies that had been quoted without myself ever taking any interest in proceeding further with their quote.”

“Instant quotes received from two non-local companies that appear to be middle-men, not the actual surveyors' firms, and their quotes were worryingly low - difficult to believe a thorough, professional job would be done. Two other firms' quotes were "TBA" but nothing further received four days later. Overall: disappointing.”

“A comparison site is the ability to see the cost of a service. Where else would you start to investigate costs? To then be inundated with phonecalls within seconds of receiving your non-obligation quotes is irritating.”

“We asked for prices for moving from UK to Cyprus and received only one reply. Whilst it may be very good, there is nothing to compare it with and we shall be obliged to look elsewhere. All the other questions on this review are irrelevant and therefore not answered.”

“Hassled by companies you shared my details with - too aggressive with their sales team. Cornerstone made 3 calls in two minutes, an email and a voicemail? More the next day and the next. Too much and won’t be using their services on principle”
