Have been with Rave for a while now and the coffe I order is excellent, but am on the verge of finding another supplier. I am repeatedly having issues with the payment system even though my card details are sorted with the site. I have emailed a number of times and had apologies, all very nice and it shouldn't happen etc. this last time was a pain I could do without and was in the middle of something when placing my order, to be told I had to go through all the rigmarole of keying in my card details from start to finish. I complied, had the order confirmed and delivery was prompt etc. bu I emailed again and mentioned I was having the same issue and the emailed response I found amazing and incomprehensible and in fact thought the reply was actually somewhat verging on trade description territory and made no sense.

We understand how frustrating it can be to re-enter your card details, especially when you're in the middle of something important. As mentioned in our previous email correspondence, for security reasons, we do not store any payment information on our website for one-time purchases, which is why your card details are not automatically filled in during checkout. However, we do store card information for subscriptions to ensure a seamless recurring order process. For one-time purchases, we recommend using alternative payment methods such as ShopPay, PayPal, Google Pay, etc., which allow for quicker checkouts by securely saving your payment information. Additionally, your internet browser may also have the capability to save and auto-fill your card details. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you need further assistance or have any questions about using these alternative payment methods, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. I cannot fault the service or the quality of the coffee. Delivery is as it says and the website is really easy to use. However I have a criticism On 2 occasions i was sending a gift and duly filled in the card to be inserted with the gift. SO NO CARD WITH GIFT. I had to explain that the gift was from me. So please just ensure you add the cards.

This particular consign ent was not up to the usual high standard. The order and delivery were fine, as usual. The coffee ordered ( Chatswood No6) was for ground beans. In the main this was the case but there was a high proportion of whole beans in the bag. I expect the next order will be back to the usual high standard,

I think the service proposition and delivery time is very good and ease of ordering I liked. The online personality is great and you talk to me like a friend and I buy a fair bit. The coffee is good but not so good that I don’t look elsewhere though while I try different things. There is lots of competition online in a congested arena, I ordered once a long time ago and went t away then came back and have been pretty loyal ever since. The only negative I would say is when I visited the retail outlet which had been looking forward to as it’s close to me. Prior to that my relationship was all digital and if the email campaign was anything to go by I was one of your VIP customers and we were friends. I wasn’t looking for a free coffee or any special treatment, don’t get me wrong I know how these things work… but when I tried to buy some coffee the lady behind the desk was fairly uninterested. There was no prompt in terms of are you a member or are you register with us? I get that question on loyalty cards or membership everywhere?? Boots at the airport, my local coop, loads of places when they don’t have my details and here I was trying to buy yet another £30 of coffee if you and I had to force the issue to get the points included on my account. The chaser handed me an iPad to find my own details, there are apparently two David Mitchell’s and I had to find myself. Not sure if I got my points for that transaction or if the other guy did but hey life is too short. Guess it’s a case of don’t meet your hero’s. I’m not being down on your staff, just saying maybe try and greet your VIP members (if that’s what we are) when they go in to your coffee shop by asking are you a member or whatever, do you shop with us, are you collecting points? That’s all, don’t need anything else. After that all I did was order my next load from Grind but I’m sure I’ll be back. Just felt the online bit was disingenuous with the retail outlet. Thanks, David
