“This is a fun way of participating in a book club and discovering new titles! The books I’ve read here tend to be newer publications that are conversation starters, topical and in the main stream. All are books I hadn’t considered, but enjoyed. The packaging is nice and I would recommend Rare Bird Book Club!”

“I am halfway through a gift subscription and have received some interesting titles which I might not have come across otherwise. A slight hitch with my second order necessitated a phone call to the bookshop which responded promptly and politely. Some issues with damaged packaging due to courier or postman delivering through letterbox (even though I was in) but the books themselves have so far been unharmed.”

“Was bought a 6 month subscription as a present. Lovely idea. I choose one book a month based on written descriptions of the books. So have no idea what getting!! Books arrive beautifully packaged Only small complaint is choosing between 2 books per month is limited. Would prefer to select book from 4 or 5 titles.”

“I love the idea of Rare Birds - it's a really fun concept and a good chance to find books from different genres. I also love the sustainable packaging used when delivering the products. I have so far received 2 books and can't say I loved them , however (not Rare Bird's fault of course!), so perhaps my suggestion would be to offer a third suggestion or a free post return/exchange service. However, on the whole I think this is a great service and have been recommending it to friends and family”

“I ordered a gift of membership to the book club for my sister’s birthday. I opted for a voucher to be sent out but then emailed to ask this to be changed to an online voucher as I realised it wouldn’t arrive by post in time for her birthday. My mistake, but was disappointed that I didn’t get a reply to my email to get this sorted. I understand that it must be a busy time for the business though! My sister is delighted with her membership! Thanks.”
