I received a 3 month subscription as a gift. I love the idea of choosing between 2 blurbs and waiting to see what arrives. However, I'm not a fast reader and had only just read the first book by the time the 3 month subscription ended. This meant I was no longer allowed to access the member's area and read discussions about the book! So something to bear in mind if you're giving this as a gift.

I love the mystery of choosing a book without any title or clue about the author. The books come packaged beautifully which adds to the whole experience Disappointingly though I haven't been very impressed with the quality of the books I've received so far Not a big fan of 'chuck lit' style.

Struggled with first book ( Love in Colour) have put on back burner, will get back to it. Just started 2nd ( Dual A for Aunties) so far, enjoying… ! So, can’t give a really honest answer, which is probably what you need Loving the idea though 🌷

My son & wife bought me a subscription which I was really pleased with, a great gift. I would have liked more choice each month as I don’t think the first book was my cup of tea. The title would have been good to research reviews etc., but it’s good to try new authors. Good idea and great delivery and I really hope you make a success of the book club, however, I don’t think I will be renewing my subscription when the time comes. Rosemary

I love the concept of this club and really enjoy the "picking out an unknown book based on a description" aspect. That's really fun. I was surprised that such a poorly written book, The Coven, was chosen last month and it made me wonder how the process works behind the scenes. Does RBBC get money from publishers to promote their books? But the book before that was wonderful, so I guess it's luck of the draw. What disappoints me the most, however, and makes me wonder exactly what we're paying for, is the complete lack of "book club". There's virtually no interaction between members. We just post our opinions, maybe get a like or too and an "I agree" and that's it. No back and forth. It seems pretty obvious that the people who run the site should be asking book club questions and trying to stir up interaction and discussion, like anyone who runs a book club, but they don't do that for some reason. So basically, we're paying extra money for someone to send us a book and not much else.

Really good customer service, friendly and polite. However the website and subscription could be improved. I received the subscription as a gift and when I did my first order I could fully see how much the person as spent which is not really nice and ideal.. Plus I had to spend a £18 extra for the delivery! The gift subscription needs to improve!

I love the idea of the book club. The book choices are interesting and give you a clear enough idea of the 'mood' of the book without giving away what it is. So it's been a nice surprise each month- and both have been books I don't think I would have picked for myself. I also had a small issue with my book arriving that the service was perfect and I got the book expediated to me within a day. I have only given 3 * because I just don't feel that the cost justifies the reward. The 'debate' section is really just people leaving their reviews. This is the same as something like Goodreads which is free. I feel if perhaps there were book club questions and perhaps even options to join virtual Zoom meetings to discuss the questions, it would make the idea of a book club and debate much more real and would add value. Also small attention to detail things- for example the book I got this month was correct, but the description and book mark that came with it was wrong. This is isn't complaint worth, but it's a small thing that makes a difference. So for £20 a month for a book- it doesn't really make the prices justified.

This was a lovely concept to accept as a Christmas gift. However the choice of just 2 books with such little description is limiting. Faced with an easy read or in-depth tome, I opted for easy to while away lockdown. Unfortunately the subject is mind numbing akin to cheap TV reality show. Hoping the next book will be a better read.

I've only received one book so far so it feels a bit soon to be leaving a review, but the one I have had was not to my taste. Fingers crossed for the next one! I think the idea is great - perhaps I was just unlucky with the first book.

Great idea for a gift although my original email (gift from my daughter) went into my junk folder and sat there for a good few months before I found it - not sure if its the name of the company or what but please have your IT dept consider this and improve it.

I gist subscribed at Stylist and could not use my online code. When I contacted them via Instagram no response! My subscription has now ended and I have had no reminders or special offers for my custom back. I would join again but they need to Inform their customers of their subscription are ending and whether they would like to renew!

When I subscribed, it was already past the date you could select a certain book, so I got sent one by random and it wasn't my cup of tea - added to that I accidentally must have selected it twice, so I received another additional book. I sent an email to seek assistance but didn't hear back, and it's been a week. I am thinking of cancelling.
