“Trainer was very good. Central venue. Only issues: 1) Website was said it was multiple choice exam; it was partially multiple choice, which caused some anxiety in the group from those who had read your website. 2) the confirmation/invoice said to arrive 15 mins early and people who were late wouldn’t be admitted and wouldn’t get a refund. Frankly this got my back up a bit, people do try to be on time, but in a world of travel disruptions etc I think such a threat was a bit much and unnecessary. Had my train into the city been delayed and I was met with that attitude I’d have been very annoyed. As was, it wasn’t an issue, and I think the tutor had a softer edge than the advance correspondence.”

“Very good course, happy it’s been upgraded, my only issue was it is the first course I have attended where lunch wasn’t provided given the cost”

Hi Ray, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you found the course valuable but regret that the lack of a workbook affected your experience. Course materials are available online via the IOSH Portal, and we encourage delegates to access them in advance. I understand my colleague Joanne assisted with the details of accessing the materials before the course started. Moving forward, we will email all delegates before their course start date with a step-by-step guide on downloading the workbook via the IOSH portal. Thank you for raising this with us.

“The training session was a good lead into the managing of health and safety. The trainer Isobel does a great job to teach you with all the relevant information for the test. Sometimes the information was shown a bit too quickly due to the timing of everything but it was detailed and indepth. There are times where needing to review the guidebook and the risk assessment information isn't fully clear but it is an ideal course to take.”

“Our teacher Wassem was excellent but in my opionion the course needed to be swapped round. Week one we learnt bits relelvent to the exam. Then we had a week off. then the following week we learnt bit relevent to the coursework. Then we had to submit the exam and coursework. I think if the course covered the coursework bits first, it would be better as then you have a week to get it done and ask any questions upon return. Then if the second week was the exam info, it would be fresh in your memory for the exam a couple of days later.”

“PSS made booking the course extremely easy. They followed up to ensure I had all the information needed and did not harass me to book. The course was enjoyable and informative with loads of discussions taking place. I do, however, feel the course could be completed at a quicker pace but appreciate that preferred pace differs between individuals.”
