“I attended a Dumper course.First day was theory day.Only 4 hours.Second day we were 4 people with 1 machine.I was driving no more than 1 hour.I paid 830 for thism”

Hi Valentin, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I’m very sorry we haven’t lived up to your expectations, perhaps I can provide some explanation that may clear things up. The CSCS Dumper course is run as a Dumper and Roller course, if you only sit one category (dumper) then you attend the morning only. The practical training is run, as standard according to the CITB rules, with 4 people using 1 machine. 2 hours each person over 2 runs. I understand the cost may seem steep but the cost is made up of equipment, trainers, venues, administration, licensing and accreditation costs and we pride ourselves on being very competitive and transparent with our prices. I hope this has provided some explanation, I’d also like to say well done for passing your theory test and good luck on your practical test this week. “Chris lee was the trainer, Very well executed. Very informative all aspects covered in depth. Very disappointed with lunch that was provided... chips crisp and a sandwich every day. All carbs and not a healthy option in site... improvements needed.”

“The course was very good a took a lot from it. The trainer was very good the breaks we had were just right a would have gave 5 out ov 5 if it wasn’t for the food at lunch not much to choose from”

“The course was well presented by Badger. He made it fun, but drove the points home. It would have been good to go through the results of the end test to see where errors were made and the correct answers. The Holiday Inn is an excellent venue, the room, refreshments and lunch was good. We had to move to the Queens Stand on the 3rd day of the course, which was a very poor venue. The room was cold, there were cables running across the room, they were contained within cable covers, but still a hazard. The refreshments were poor, the lunch was poor. The toilet facilities were poor, with some of the toilets not flushing and one toilet did not have running water to wash your hands. All this being said, the Course was well presented. I would suggest you insist on having the Holiday Inn for the entire course going forward.”

In addition to your comment of reviewing answers and errors made after your test, I will be passing this over to the training team, in order to help improve our teaching standards. Here at PSS we always go the extra mile to ensure every delegate gains an educational and insightful experience every time. In addition, we apologise for the venue changing on day three of your course and our facilities not being of high quality. We book all rooms for our course in advance in order to plan ahead. On this occasion, we booked our training room with the Holiday Inn who unfortunately made an error with our booking and to cause the least amount of disruption, we agreed to move the training course to The Queen’s Stand. Whilst it is a lovely venue to watch the racing from, we understand this venue is not fit for the purpose of training. We share your frustration and have advised the Holiday Inn that we do not want to be moved to The Queen’s Stand again. Kind regards, PSS - Marketing Team
