“I love the Walter antique brass base and raspberry taj silk lampshade - goes perfectly next to my bed. Think I’ll have to get another for the other side! I’m also really impressed with their customer service - they helped with sample fabrics and when I ordered a lampshade that ended up being a colour that didn’t go, I just sent it back with no charge. Thank you Pooky 😁”

“Bit disappointing that when viewing the site from Spain it showed prices without the VAT, but, then, when I bought the items and entered a London delivery address (since I'm visiting friends in the UK next week and want to bring the lampshades back with me) UK VAT was added at the last minute, resulting in a much heftier sum than I'd been led to believe. It was only after I'd paid that I realised I'd been charged the VAT, even though the items are coming back to Spain with me. Now, I understand why all of this has happened, but might there be a way for your system to alert buyers from abroad of this in future? If your system can pick up that the viewer is abroad could you not alert them a bit more explicitly about the VAT if they then enter a UK delivery address? As I say, there was no warning and no explicit mention of VAT now needing to be paid, it was just the figures in the final bill that suddenly changed. It felt a bit like be buying a Ryan Air ticket and discovering at the last minute that you’ve been bamboozled, and that mysterious extra charges have now been added to your bill. A bit disappointing.”

“I was really excited when I found this vendor, because they offer some fantastic colours and had just what I wanted in the bright pink lacquered lamp stand. The website was easy to order from, although image quality is not the best. Delivery was quick and the products were really well packaged and protected. Unfortunately, the quality of the products (especially considering the price point) was really poor. The lamp base lacquer was really poorly applied with white clearly visible through the bright pink lacquer and the bottom 50mm of the base missing any lacquer at all. I ordered a pink striped lampshade which on the website looks white and pink but when it arrived, the ‘white’ is a vanilla yellow colour and the pink stripes messily hand painted in arcrylic paint. I gave this feedback and photos when ordering my returns (still awaiting returns labels) and no-one even acknowledged it which was a wee bit disappointing. Genuinely gutted as the design of the products is fab but the quality of the lamp base is of something which should cost £20, not £90, and the lamp shade honestly looks like I’ve added rhw stripes myself.”

Our aim is to provide beautiful items at a fair price, so your feedback is invaluable. The shade that you had chosen is one of our hand painted card shades and the design of these should look hand painted. We do try and note this in the description on the website that each one is unique, and somehow the little imperfections in the paint work, and the slightly mottled look, add to the perfection. We're also sorry to hear about the lack of response regarding your returns; I can see you had submitted your returns request and received an instant returns label was sent out to you so if you have not received this please do get in touch and we can resend this to you.
