Lovely looking rechargeable lamps but the bulbs are so dim even at the highest level we can’t use them for reading.

The light designs are great. Lots of options, some of them are very difficult to fit though and I’ve had some where the antique brass flakes off.

Love the range of lampshades online. However, first time I've placed an order, and the 18cm pendant silk in coral silk was in reality more of a rust colour, so sadly having to return it. Will try ordering another, which is currently out of stock. Customer services responded quickly to my email, on a Sunday, about when it is likely to be in stock.

Ordered 2 x E27 pendant kit with antiqued brass finish - Actually they are brushed brass not antique so not really what we wanted. I did check the part codes on the box it is the same as ordered but on their website/order confirmation states antiqued brass finish but the box itself states brushed brass. Quality good except for the cable connector box which has to be the cheapest I've seen in years, very fiddily to connect cables. Bought LED light elsehwere last month which had a cable connector with push down connectors not tiny screws and thin plastic holding it together, not sure why worth saving a few pennies on the one thing that makes a massive difference when installing it

Beautiful lamps disastrous delivery company would think again before buying .from Pooky as wouldn't use DPD ever again your lamps are five stars Pooky company and service are five stars but spoilt by DPD

There aren't enough flush light but there are clearly a demand for them because the ones I like keep selling out and are now not for sale at all. I just want plain chic brass or bronze classy not naff ceiling lights.

The stone for light has got brown marks and stains and when you put lights it’s more visible . And the gold string on site is not straight . Even though you paid good amount it’s disappointing to see this as they were supposed to be on lounge wall lights.

I love the light, and this is the second light I have brought from Pooky. The delivery and process of buying was very easy and product came fast. The issues we had were as follows - the instructions were not aligned with how the light was presented, and required wires to be cut to get the base plate off. Having eventually attached the base plate and then the main frame of the light to the ceiling (we had very tired arms), we found that the glass panel/plate (which was packaged seperately to the light) did not align with the circumference of the light meaning that it could not be attached...we found that the main shaft was bent slightly which caused the issue (If only we had checked before starting). Not wanting to remove the whole thing, we managed to move the shaft somewhat, and with a little force got the glass panel on (the glass panel is now damaged slightly) and the bolt fastened. My advice is to check it all fits before you start, as if I had known I would have contacted Pooky to ask for a replacement. As an aside, there were no spare glass rods which I found a little frustrating as a smiliar wall light I purchased a year ago did come with a number of spares. I hope our experience was a one off and others do not find the quality issues we encoutered.

The delivery came on time. It is a solid product which I believe would last. However, I am slightly disappointed with the craftmanship. As you can see from the image I'm attaching, there are a couple of small pores on the surfaces, the square blocks that form the base do not quite line up, and you can see visually that some edges are not straight.

Bit disappointing that when viewing the site from Spain it showed prices without the VAT, but, then, when I bought the items and entered a London delivery address (since I'm visiting friends in the UK next week and want to bring the lampshades back with me) UK VAT was added at the last minute, resulting in a much heftier sum than I'd been led to believe. It was only after I'd paid that I realised I'd been charged the VAT, even though the items are coming back to Spain with me. Now, I understand why all of this has happened, but might there be a way for your system to alert buyers from abroad of this in future? If your system can pick up that the viewer is abroad could you not alert them a bit more explicitly about the VAT if they then enter a UK delivery address? As I say, there was no warning and no explicit mention of VAT now needing to be paid, it was just the figures in the final bill that suddenly changed. It felt a bit like be buying a Ryan Air ticket and discovering at the last minute that you’ve been bamboozled, and that mysterious extra charges have now been added to your bill. A bit disappointing.

I have ordered many Pooky products over the years and I think the quality of the fittings has degraded. Pooky have been helpful in replacing items but in last few months I’ve had 3 fittings that have needed total replacement due to manufacturing faults. Whilst I’m grateful that these items have been replaced it has come at the cost of me having to get an electrician to remove and replace so it’s been expensive

Hard to give a star rating that reflects all aspects of buying from Pooky - the lamps look good and what I expected but one of them was packaged with a goodly amount of polystyrene, which is unacceptable environmentally. The silk shade is fragile, definitely, but there are a number of greener packaging options around and I feel Pooky could and should have used one of those. It will put me off using their products again.

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. We are acutely aware of our carbon footprint and the impact we have on the environment. That is why, for the most part, our packaging is almost entirely recyclable and for those elements that cannot be we are always researching for alternatives that will ensure our products arrive in perfect condition at their destination. If we use bubble wrap it is an eco friendly form that can be recycled but unfortunately only at recycling plants that have invested in the equipment to do so, which is sadly lacking in the UK at present. The only element of our shade packaging that is non-recyclable is a light plastic wrap that goes around the shade itself to project the fabric. All other elements of the packaging are fully recyclable and are needed to ensure safe delivery. Regardless, please do rest assured that it is a top priority for us and we are keenly aware of our need to keep up! Best wishes, Em

Would love to leave a 5-star review as I love your designs but shopping on Pooky has been a frustrating experience. The products I want are never in stock or out of stock quickly, e.g. the Tremmers single wall fitting - out of stock for months. The scallop lampshade in blue and pink - out of stock for months or sold out quickly. And why, in the age when reversible gimbals are common, do you only sell either pendant or table lamp fittings? I was after the Heraldic blue in a particular size for table lamp, but - after speaking to your customer services, it was only available as pendant fitting. You would be able to maximise your customers' choices by selling shade with reversible gimbals!

We are slowly moving most of our shades onto a reversible gimble, however, with some it is not possible. We do have a wide range of shades that have the reversible gimbal-580 in stock right now. The quality of some of the products purchased does not reflect the price and the products do appear different from the pictures on the website. We had to return some of them unfortunately.

Our order was poorly packaged and one of the lamps arrived damaged. The replacement was ordered without difficulty but it was slightly inconvenient to have to go to the only local shop where we could drop off the faulty one. The instructions are very poor, and state that the rechargeable battery will only last two years. All in all, they're very expensive for what they are, especially if the battery really does die in 2 years.

Hi there, Thank you for sending in your review. I do apologise that your order was delivered and the one lamp arrived damaged. I can see that this was replaced and the new one arrived safely. As with any battery powered product, these will degrade naturally over time. If the lamp is used regularly it may degrade sooner, and if it is not used often then it will last longer. Our warranty period is two years, so if the battery fails within this period we will replace them and if it were to fail out of our warranty period then we would be able to repair these. This is a service we are currently discussing internally, and would come with a small charge. The lampshades are lovely but the colour is absolutely nothing like the images online! I will keep them because, pure fluke, they look fine in the room they were intended for, but PLEASE MAKE YOUR COLOURS MORE ACCURATE! It’s annoying.

Unfortunately, different screens (PCs, Macs, tablets, mobiles) all have different technologies and colour set-ups and this can result in colour differences depending on what device you view the product on. We offer free returns so that if an item in the flesh is not as you were expecting it, and does not work in your scheme, you are free to return it. We do also offer free fabric samples so if you are unsure we can send these out to you and you can make sure it will be perfect before placing your order. We purchased a rechargeable picture light but unfortunately the brass finish had several scratch marks. However, we couldn't be bothered with the hadssle of sending it back etc., but I don't think we would buy any more similar products from Pooky,

I love the lamp I ordered but the bulb holder arrived bent, and the bulb doesn’t light up sadly. I’m sure this is just an unfortunate accident, but can I return it to the HQ office in Fulham or do I need to send it back in the post?

Hi George, Thank you for leaving a review. I can see you were in touch with my colleague Bryony a few hours ago and we have emailed a response in regards to the issue you are having with the lamp. The bulb holder is slightly wonky, however, this is because the lamp is on a ball-joint, meaning this can be secured back into place with a firm grip.
