“We have had to return multiple lamps due to faults or poor quality recently. There seems to be quite a lot of difference compared to the other Pooky lamps that we've purchased in the last few years - different cords (no longer twisted, but a more basic finish), different finishes (the newer Chukka lamp was very shiny and much more chunky at the base than a previous one we bought and it had a plastic switch in the cable, rather than a metal switch in the lamp base). The lampshades are still great and I love the designs of the lamps but I'm really disappointed with the decline in quality of more recent purchases.”

“Attractive and comfortable store with friendly staff. Do exercise caution in the discount section. We bought a floor lamp which is great and they say that goods in the outlet are in good ekectrical condition. BUT the lampshade we bought in the outlet is unusable. We should have taken it to the natural light at the entrance and peeled back some of the protrctive covering. It has dents and several white smears right round it. We had assumed lampshades in the outlet were end of line or seconds - not actually damaged/dented and unusable. We have bought a lampshade elsewhere and lamp looks great. Sandra”

“I have mixed feelings about Pooky. Starting with the positives, the choices are incredible and I can always find something that fits my needs. The lamp bases are also stunning and have a real sturdy quality feel. However, the lamp shades are always different upon arrival to what I see and read on the website. This has led to costly returns which I don't think is fair considering the descriptions are inaccurate. For this reason, I wouldn't take a chance on purchasing a lamp shade again as I have tried on a couple occasions already.”

Hello, Thank you for your honest review. We are pleased to hear you love our designs and quality, and that you can always find something to suit your home. It is a shame you don't feel the same way about our lamp shades. We always do our very best to make sure our photography and descriptions are a true reflection of the items you’ll receive, however colours can vary slightly on different screens when shopping online. Our returns are free of charge under normal circumstances. However, please note that if an order is placed during a sale or promotional period, a £6 return fee per order will apply. “We visited the showroom at Gloucester as we wanted to view lampshades. The displays are great and you can see how the lampshades look when they are lit. The staff were extremely helpful and knowlegeable and were able to advise us on stock availability and helped with our order. We visited on a Friday and by Sunday our order arrived at our home. Excellent service. Thank you!”

“I recently bought a small lamp from Pooky. I am thrilled with it. The colour of the shade is perfect and just as advertised on the Pooky website. The base is brass and excellent quality. There is so many lamps to choose from on the website. I can happily get something for every space in my home. And I think I will !”

“Delighted with my new light fitting - so much so that I ordered another 2 . I ordered the Round Roddy Flush Lights . Postage to NI was free - unlike other suppliers on mainland UK - and delivery was speedy and hassle free . The items are unique and excellent value for the quality and appearance .”
