I have been to the Pirates Cave chandlery several times as I refurbish a Freedom 35 at Swale Marina buying items to treat teak inside and out, antifoul the boat, polish the hull, etc. I also ordered some clothing on line and collected from the chandlery. I always received exemplary service and useful advice from all members of staff. I will continue to shop at Pirates Cave for more items including sea toilet and stove.

Nothing wrong with the goods ... Paid almost £8.00 for P&P on 48 hours delivery via DHL ... received the goods a week later Disappointed .... Think twice the next time......

Hi Ken, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the delivery of your order. Your order was placed on the 6th of June after 1pm and was dispatched on the 8th of June. Due to the location of your delivery address, the standard shipping charge applied for your life jacket and the courier service would have been a 48 hour service. We completely understand how frustrating the delayed delivery must have been and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Although we dispatched your order promptly, the parcel unfortunately experienced an unexpected delay during transit with DHL, meaning it took longer to reach you than either of us had anticipated. bought a fusion amplifier which was sent out using Amazon which hasn't arrived despite various emails to say it was being delivered , I contacted your customer services who said they despatch another unit using another courier which also hasn't been delivered. Tried calling customers services several times but phone wasn't picked up . Terrible service will never use again.

Contacted Pirates Cave over a month ago about some Selden parts for a furler. Seemed a simple job. First caller never called back, run again, 2nd caller also never came back to me for parts or prices. Had no issues with parts advertised on there online store, always on time and reasonable prices against other sellers. From my experience could do better when its specialist parts and communication with customers.

I am still waiting for the remaining part of my order. Your order ref 77412 placed on the 19/04/2026 we have contacted you twice but still waiting. I also have a customer waiting for a small job to be completed. Not good.

Good morning Philip, Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay with your order. We had two units available for your order, which were dispatched 3 days after you placed your order. Unfortunately, the remaining two units were out of stock at the time. The outstanding items came back into stock on 21/05/2026, and we immediately dispatched them to you. According to DHL tracking, the parcel was successfully delivered on 22/05/2026. We completely understand the inconvenience and frustration this delay may have caused, especially with your customer waiting for the job to be completed. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the wait on your order and appreciate your patience and understanding.

I've been trying to contact you ref order #78015 four times today to establish the status of my order, and when I can expect delivery, but so far I have yet to receive a response! Poor show Pirates Cave Chandlery !!!
