“Eventally got what I ordered but it was more complicated than I thought. I ordered and item online and paid for it. That was on a Saturday so I expected the item would be picked and posted the following Monday. As it turned out it was not in stock. I had to ring them to find this out despite their delivery information on the website saying if out of stock they would keep me informed and offer me either a wait, an alternative or a refund. It turns out they had to get one of the items I ordered elsewhere. I can't understand why a company would take the order and payment for something they don't have or at least say Out of Stock on the website.”

Hi Raymond, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, due to a stock discrepancy over the weekend, one of the items showed as available online when it had actually sold out. As soon as this was identified, we quickly sourced the item from one of our suppliers to avoid cancelling your order and to make sure you still received what you needed. We completely understand your frustration regarding the lack of communication. We are currently reviewing this, along with our stock and notification systems to help prevent this happening again in future. Sam

“Hi, overall very good, the product was great as discribed, my only criticism is that I wasn't informed that the part was out of stock, which meant I had to email to find out if the order had been shipped.”

“I am absolutely delighted with my new Harrington inflatable and the ultra fast delivery to Cornwall. The build quality looks top drawer and the design details are superb...this is a way better boat than the alternatives, especially when you consider the price! I inflated it in the garage for 24 hours as recommended and then used it out to my boat the next day with a 2hp Yamaha outboard. The inflatable floor was excellent and overall the boat feels safe and purposeful on the water. It was easy to deflate and stow onboard. Overall, I am delighted with the product but also the excellent pre-purchase advice I was given by knowledge staff over the phone.”

“Don’t bother if you want something quick ordered a week ago and it would seem they have not processed order other than taking the money . They have not replied to an email asking when I can expect delivery hopeless”

“Won't respond to emails. Haven't answered phone. Order pulled through wrong address and can't seem to change anything. These means 100s of pounds worth of equipment going to wrong address and can't speak to anyone!”

“Pirates Cave Chandlery please reply to my three emails about only half my order being delivered on 8th May after my order place on 22nd April. After almost a month I still do not have all the items I paid for. Order ref: ORD58094 My experience of Pirates Cave Chandlery so far… I placed an order for four lifejacket maintenance items on 22nd April. A (partially) delivery, 16 days later, was made on 8th May. The courier did not ring the bell (both my wife and I were in), left the delivery bag on my doorstep and recorded it was signed for by a name I do not recognise. When I picked-up the delivery bag I noticed there was a hole in it so, being worried about the damage, I took a photo of it before I opened it. On opening it I found only 2 of the 4 items present. I immediately emailed Pirates Cave Chandlery to state only a partial delivery had been made along with photographs of the hole in the delivery bag and the items delivered. I have since sent two further emails chasing for an update on 14th May and 16th May and still heard absolutely nothing. Pirates Cave Chandlery, please contact me to confirm how you will complete your contractual obligations as per our order agreement. Regards, Matt”

“Hi I ordered item that said delivery 2-3 days and advertised as in stock waiting to delivery day to till me it would be June. Wouldn't buy anything from here again. Guy on phone still telling me it says 3-5day delivery even know I'm looking on website at same time just got told lies avoid”

“Ordered a Seago 165 life jacket. Really good price and excellent delivery next day. The jacket is great quality and will make me feel happier as my wife is out of sight opening locks on the canal. Ps the jackets for the wife . Lol”
