“The quality of products from Pipers farm is second to none! I’ve never tasted such amazing beef, pork & chicken especially. My only negative is the price point for the weight of meat you get sometimes, it can be a little inconsistent. A couple of weeks ago I had three pork chops delivered two were of good size, but one was so small and was pretty much all bone with very little meat on it. I’ve had the same with chicken breast, they look the same size but once pulled out the packet one was paper thin in comparison to it’s chunkier packet mates. Consistency is key in my eyes, so I would like to see better weight checks on their products. I’ve only had one bad delivery out of many, and pipers farm were so quick to respond.. less than an hour!! What great customer service, they sorted out my issues so quickly and efficiently. I was rather impressed! I highly recommend this place, makes you feel good eating it and knowing it all comes from the best place for animals. This alone is what brings me back every week.”

“Really impressed with my first Pipers Farm order of chicken and duck carcasses, bacon, rolled brisket. My delivery arrived on the day I selected, everything still frozen and the packaging of sheep’s fleece a great freebie for my compost bin. I’ve failed to find chicken carcasses locally that I’m happy with and nothing free-range so these were ordered with some trepidation but I have to say I am absolutely thrilled with these. I refrigerated two chicken carcasses for a couple of days until I had time to deal with them and when I opened them there was absolutely no odour because of how fresh they were when processed. Loads of meat on the bones. I roasted mine and made 2ltrs of the most amazing stock for my homemade duck ravioli. I’m an older lady, no IT skills, no broadband but I made a cracking stock from Pipers beautifully fresh healthy carcasses. Would recommend.”

“Was very pleased with the speed of the delivery after I ordered and very pleased with the packaging however was very disappointed with the cinnamon buns which were quite expensive so I expected something special. As a household we thought the flavour was lacking, could have done with more cinnamon and I hate to say that frozen ones I’ve bought from local well known supermarkets have been better. All meat products on the otherhand were very good and I would recommend.”

“Unfortunately Dpd didn't deliver until 1pm .... so food was partially defrosted! They usually deliver first thing in the morning. Additionally some gristle found in some products. Minced venison. Pork burgers. So considering if I will make further orders.”

Hi Theresia, I am so sorry that your order arrived partially defrosted but I am grateful that you have let us know. I do hope that you were able to pop the items into the freezer as all Pipers Farm meat is safe to defrost and refreeze following our defrosting and refreezing guidelines. If any of your meat has thawed slightly during transportation it is completely safe to pop straight into your freezer. We keep your order in a chilled environment during delivery up until 11pm. It is then out on the road in our clever thermal packaging that stops the temperature from rising above 8C during delivery, so you never have to worry about your food being in transit. Why is 8C important? According to the Food Standards Agency temperatures over 8C to 63C are classified as 'the Danger Zone'. Food that reaches over 8C can kickstart any bacterial growth, however the colder the temperature the slower bacteria will grow. Cold temperatures in chilling or freezing delay chemical reactions within foods and put any bacteria that may be present on pause. One of the additional joys of shopping with Pipers Farm is that we are so different to the industrialized, globalised supply chains you find in supermarkets. From the way we rear our animals, right through to how we age, cut and store our meat, every part of our process is very different and the risks associated with harmful bacteria are proportionally so. We have tested, trialed and controlled every step of our process for over 35 years to provide you with complete confidence in the food you eat.
