“We have used Permagard to tank a wall surrounding the underside of our park home, the other side of which retained a built-up patio. Rainwater seeping into the patio sub-surface through the porous flagstones gradually found its way through the retaining wall, leading to pooling on the concrete base. We ordered a tub of Parmagard on-line and were impressed by the speed of delivery. Applying the product was difficult due to the restrictive space under our home and the fact that the trailer on which the parkhome was delivered to the site was still in place, the wheel of which was very close to the wall. However the tanking product was easy to mix, and to apply, and two coats were applied over two days. However we found that water continued to come through the retaining wall in certain places that had been difficult to access. So we then produced a much thicker mix which was trowelled over those areas. Because one particular spot was definitely impossible to reach, and was discovered to have a significant gap in the masonry which could not be blocked, we used more of the powder to create a bund on the concrete base to direct any water that may continue to seep through in that particular area towards a drain hole further along, past the patio. The remaining powder will be used to paint on a third coat of tanking.”

“Product pack came on time and well wrapped and with all parts as described on the website. The kit is easy to use and composed of easy to use, good quality items. The SDS drill bit was Of a good quality and worked well. The cream for DPC was easy to get in to the pump / injector. The cream was OK to use and once primed the pump delivered the cream as expected. Just waiting to see the cream react with the mortar course. Fingers crossed it works as required.”
