“We had a most enjoyable afternoon at Paya. Everything was explained very clearly with interesting background information. The small class size meant we all had plenty of opportunities to try out new skills. It culminated in a delicious meal that we had all made. Would definitely recommend the experience.”

“Jirapan is an excellent cook and a wonderful teacher. She taught us how to make delicious, authentic Thai dishes using high quality ingredients. I will never be able to eat in a normal Thai restaurant in the UK again, because now I understand how Thai food should taste. She has a great kitchen and is a very skilled teacher. I look forward to cooking Thai food for the rest of my life.”

“We spent a wonderful day with Jirapan learning to make 6 different dishes. Each of them was delicious. Jirapan is extremely knowledgeable – right down to which part of the galangal to use for soup and which part for curries. I thoroughly recommend this course for anyone wishing to acquire in-depth knowledge on Thai cooking.”

“We were a group of 15 for an office summer party, everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the cooking lesson. Jirapan was very informative the whole way through and made it seem easily achievable to put a good Thai meal on the table. We all then sat down to eat what we'd cooked afterwards and everyone was very pleasantly surprised how good it was. The lesson time flew by and we're now all armed with the recipes to try out at home. It was a really fun, sociable thing to do in a group and I'd highly recommend it.”

“We had a 3 course private lesson with Jirapan which was such a treat. The communication in regards to arranging the lesson and picking the menu was very quick, helpful and reassuring. Jirapan made us feel very at ease and we found the course extremely informative and fun. We enjoyed being so involved with the cooking and Jirapan answered all of our questions. The booklet with the menus we cooked along with details of the ingredients is great and we can't wait to cook the dishes at home. I would definitely recommend this course, a great experience and excellent value for money. Thank you Jirapan”

“We learned such a lot about thai vegetables and spices and what went into Thai green curry paste. It was a great afternoon and we enjoyed the take home foods that evening for supper. Thanks Jirapan, you made it all very interesting and encouraged us to taste things as we went along so we knew how flavours changed. Gill and Bruce”

“I was given the cooking lesson as a birthday present and was somewhat uncertain as to whether it'd be something my wife and I would enjoy and ultimately learn from. My doubts were misplaced. From the moment Jirapan arrived we were reassured that the session was going to be not only interesting but a really fun introduction to Thai cooking. Jirapan took the time to carefully introduce all the ingedients we'd be using and explain how relevant everything was to the respective dishes. A really involved and rewarding morning culminating in a delicious lunch. True satisfaction in the knowledge that having been guided through the steps methodically my wife and I can not only prepare the same dishes again ourselves but even improvise with the different ingredients to create a range of Thai delights. And if that wasn't enough,Jirapan then insisted on cleaning the entire kitchen and utensils whilst we tucked into lunch! Really,what more could you ask for?! A great experience with a passionate chef proud of her food. I cannot recommend this class highly enough. ????????”

“Last year myself & my 2 daughters had a cookery lesson with Jirapan, which we all enjoyed very much & the food was so tasty, so much better than take away food. So, my husband bought us another cookery voucher for this year, where we cooked other dishes & once again we all enjoyed being with Jirapan. Jirapan is such a great teacher, making the lesson interesting with her enthusiasm. Once the cooking was finished & we sampled some of our dishes, our reactions were " this is so delicious, the flavours are amazing" Thanks again Jirapan for a great lesson. Sylvia, Vicki & Sarah x”

“What a fun afternoon. Friendly, informal, yet informative. All ingredients were discussed before we 6 students prepared spices, vegetables, meat etc. for a selection of authentic Thai dishes. Tasting at every step to appreciate the subtle nuances required to achieve the best possible result. We learned techniques that even I, as an experienced home cook, had not used before. Kitchen hygiene was paramount. We left with fact sheets and recipes and our culinary efforts divided into generous portions, which we took home to enjoy that evening. I would thoroughly recommend this experience to any enthusiast who enjoys this type of cuisine or is unfamiliar and needs sympathetic assistance to try it out. Well done Jirapan.”

“Had a great afternoon learning authentic methods in Thai cooking. I'm not much of a cook at home but can't wait to try out new found skills on friends! “It's almost unbelievable as to what you can achieve within a relatively short amount of time! The flavours you learn to produce are amazing... they truly pounce out at you and its undeniably more delicious, healthy and authentic. Having private lessons mean that you get a tailored experience and really get hands on in learning your chosen dishes. We've now been twice and i'm sure will be returning again for more!!!!”

“My sister-in-law and I had a fantastic cookery demonstration. We were shown how to prepare a Thai paste and used it to make a chicken & potato curry. We also made Tom Yum Pak soup and Thai fish cakes. The whole experience was really interesting and we got to eat all the delicious food after. A very good birthday present idea.”
