“Good service easy to use”

“Causes problems not having DWG or DXF file. Map should have 2 road names for planning and this is not possible without larger map and increased cost. I had to resort to pasting road name as image into pdf - took me 2 hours -very annoying - All I needed was a DWG -problem solved :-(”

Hi John, we do offer DWG and DXF mapping via our www.mapserve.co.uk site. There's a link on the top menu 'CAD plans' on www.buyaplan.co.uk that will have taken you there. I hope this helps.

“The website and software were clear and the manipulations offered to the viewer were very impressive; particularly the ability to draw coloured lines to designate areas. I bought two plans (1:1250 and 1:500) but after printing found that I could not use the former one because the extremities of the lines (I had drawn) were outside the margins. So I had wasted the cost. May be there was a preview that I had missed. I'm unlikely to be a regular user but I would certainly recommend the service.”

“This is, by far, the best company to deal with in my opinion when a plan is required. Really easy to use website and, unlike others I have used in the past, I did not experience any problems. I will definitely use again when I need another plan and would thoroughly recommend Buy A Plan.”

“The plans were suitable and at the required scales for my estate management applications with our Garden City estate management department. I found the drawing tool, which allows you to outine sections of the chosen maps, to be confusing in its application. I sidestepped that issue by downloading the maps and marking the highlights ready for submission.”

“System is good and quick but red outline doesn't work so well, so l leave blank and mark it up later. As l downloaded from the web the remaining questions are superfluous.”

“Had to submit plan for council so went to site they recommended and paid for such plan. The council rejected this and as it was at the end of submission time reacted immediately and contacted BuyAPlan and within very short time received plan submitted and excepted by council. Thank you”

“Not a great first experience. I bought a plan where I had added a red polyline, which I assumed was to crop the plan. This ended up to be a red line not on a separate layer, so ruined my purchase. I accept this was my mistake, but have used other OS suppliers before and thought it behaved the same. After all I can add my own boundary lines. I immediately contacted support as the plan was no use and was told I could order it again, and would be refunded the original less 30% for Ordnance Survey. As a gesture of goodwill I'd have thought they could have done better. I haven't bothered as I did not want to pay for another that would be costing me 30% more overall.”

“We needed to buy two plans but not at the scales we wanted. With one in the basket there wasn’t a ‘continue shopping’ to go back, choose another scale then buy both, therefore taking advantage of the discount on offer! We had to buy them separately.”
