“Parcels promptly picked up in Dublin and arrived on time in Australia, however one parcel had been totally repackaged in a large flimsy cardboard box somewhere between the pick up of the goods in Dublin and arrival in Australia. When this repackaged box was opened, items were found to be free floating around the box and some items were broken. Follow-up was poor and despite numerous enquiries we have had no response from the Fed Ex insurance claim after 8 months. Paying for insurance appears to be a waste of money. Not sure whether the ultimate responsibility lays with ParcelDirect.ie or the shipper FedEx, however once your goods are shipped, it appears that the fait of your goods are at the mercy of the gods! .”

Hi Ailish, Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your shipment and what happened with the repackaging. Sometimes the customs in certain countries will open packages to inspect them, which we have no control over. They should have repacked them with the care they deserved, but unfortunately in this instance they did not do this. I am very sorry about this. “I have recently sent a parcel with ParcelDirect to Tasmania. I dropped it off at my local newsagent and it arrived ten days later - which is very good, give the restrictions in Australia at the moment. It was great to be able to track it all the way. I would certainly use this service again.”

“Item collected ok and on time but was delivered badly damaged to the US. A special strong plywood box was made for transport- this was obviously dropped and badly damaged which also damaged the contents which was a model for a project in Colorado. I will now have to have it brought back to Ireland for repair and resend it to Coloradol.”

“Competitive price to send parcel to USA. Website easy to navigate. Parcel drop off in local shop so very convenient. Took exactly a week to arrive at destination on economy rate. Could track parcel at all times & received notification when it was delivered.”

“Very poor service. “Drop off” point at Spar on 367 North Circular road doesn’t work because of failure of scanner. That’s my first and very last time I used the service of ParcelDirect.”
