“Just finished installing my balustrade and absolutely love it! The quality of the product is great. Dealt with a couple of people when ordering and everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. Have already recommended!”

“Terrible product, I’m in the building game and used origin architecture for some years, however I used this product on my own house after years of fitting them for customers who I have recommended this company to. I ordered 3 balconies which after fitting, all rusted within 3 months of been fitted. Dealt with Gareth Philips who when I mentioned the issues literally made every excuse under the sun, it was disgusting customer service and strung me a pack of lies and then literally burried his head in the sand, stopped replying to my emails and gave me no help whatsoever. Rubbish product, shocking standard and as time has gone on Iv had reports from previous customers who have come back to me with the same issues. I pride myself on a top quality finish with my company and origin have let me down and shown me up with a shocking standard where there product is clearly not up to doing the job it’s supposed to. Iv been over a year giving them the opportunity to at least show the decency to come and look at the issues but after a year of been ignored Iv had enough and see no other option but to say how I feel on here. Shocking, no longer recommend to anyone. Customer service is appalling. Any of my staff acted in this way they wouldn’t have a job”

Hi. We are really sorry that you were not happy with the posts that you received from us. Gareth left our business about 6 months ago. We were aware of your issue but it would be good to be able to contact you to discuss it with you. We are not sure of your contact details but if you call us we will see if we can help. Generally all stainless steel products do need to be cleaned to prevent them discolouring. The frequency of the cleaning depends on the environment in which they are in. The Origin Team.

“The whole experience of dealing with Origin was fantastic. My main contact was Robyn who was extremely helpful and friendly. I also had some contact with Nicole who was also very helpful and friendly. Telephone and email contact was very fast and nothing was too much trouble for Robyn. I used the online design tool to generate an initial quote which was very easy. I actually went into Leeds to look at some components, ask advice about installation and finalise the design and components needed. I was so impressed that I placed the order there and the friendly warehouse staff had loaded the stainless posts and smaller components into my car within 10 minutes. Going into Leeds was not really necessary as the telephone and email communication with Origin is superb. The long stainless handrails arrived next day. Having watched the video link supplied by Robyn, I installed the 3 sided balustrade myself onto my new timber balcony (With some assistance from my wife.) I class myself as a competent DIY'er. I measured for the glass after fully installing the posts and handrail, using Robyn's measuring advice. The glass arrived quickly and fitted perfectly. Even the glass delivery driver was very helpful. The quality of the Origin balustrade is excellent. Many people have already admired it and commented about the high quality. Origin are completely transparent with everything. They are one of the best companies I have ever dealt with and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to buy a balustrade.”

“Fantastic service received by Nicole Hixon. She went out of her way to assist us and was patient when our planning consent was pending and when it got altered. She always replied promptly and nothing was an issue for her. Very professional and a pleasant person to deal with. I would highly recommend her and Origin Architectural. A very happy customer.”

“I required a 3 sided screen around a patio dwarf wall. Origin's on line planning tool was a great help to visualise my needs. Ashley was really helpful talking me through the options to agree final sizes and specs. The (shortened to suit) posts arrived the day after order, allowing me to get them placed and confirm cut glass sizes to Ashley before I go on holiday. Excellent service and a reasonable price. Recommended.”

“First impressions of the company were good, as the products were affordable and they were delivery promptly. However, we noticed within a few months of purchase that the posts were becoming discoloured (their current state is atrocious). We immediately contacted the company who refused to accept liability and make a reasonable proposal to try and resolve this issue (and their position has not changed to this day). Their customer service got worse as the issue went on, sometimes taking weeks/months to respond to emails/phone calls. What is incredibly frustrating for us is that they assured us at the time of purchase that the posts were the correct ones for our location (as we were far enough in land - the owner even said he knew the area where we lived). Would not recommend using this company again and we have little choice now but to take legal action unfortunately to try and recover our losses. Appalling service.”

Hi James We are sorry that we that you are not happy with your posts. You placed an order with us in May 2020 (over two years ago). At the time of ordering, we discussed with you whether you should order mirror polished stainless steel posts. We were clear that they would give you increased protection against corrosion and discolouring. You decided not to do so on the basis that they were more expensive and you didn’t think they were necessary given the environment that they would be in. We made clear to you that we have not had issues with discolouring of the sort that you have experienced with any other of our other customers. We supply thousands of posts a year. It is difficult to know for sure but the discolouring that you have experienced is likely to have been caused by a failure to properly maintain the posts or cross-contamination with carbon steel. We responded to all of your emails and as a gesture of goodwill offered to replace the posts at cost even though we were clear that the posts that we supplied were of high quality. Our business has been built on supplying outstanding products and great customer service. We remain willing to try and resolve this issue amicably. Origin Architectural
