“I ordered a glass balustrade. Origin were recommended to me and I used the on-line system to come up with an approximate design. I talked to Nicole, who is very knowledgeable, and between us we came up with the final design. It was refreshing to call a company and have a person answer the phone! Ordering and payment was simple. Confirmation of my order arrived shortly afterwards. Nicole provided detailed guidance about delivery. The metalwork arrived on time, but the lorry bringing the glass was delayed as the lorry broke down, however, the driver kept me informed and let me know the revised delivery time for the following day. Everything ordered turned up in perfect condition and the balustrade is now installed. The customer care was excellent!”

“Bespoke glass balustrades and posts, painted in Anthracite Grey to match our bifolds and really quick and easy - cannot recommend highly enough. Such great value for money to boot. Customer service really helpful and made sure we were confident with what we were doing, every step of the way.”

“I’ve recently used origin to complete a barn conversion in titchfield in Hampshire they supplied the glass and components for a bespoke stair case and glass link way .The service was first class from Nick Watson .lm more than happy with the results to produce a very individual and unique finish”

“Ordered an L shape balustrade 1200x1200 on 9/10 and paid £620. Then only received 1 tube 6m long a week later, nothing else. Staff lied about delivery and so rude. They asked proof for what they said in writing meanwhile they contacted you by phone. Please avoid this company at any cost!”

“Repeatedly damaged external glass panels for veranda - 4th set finally good. The problems mainly involved severe glass discolouration (laminating issue) which meant the glass wasn't clear in sunlight. I also experienced severe scratches which could be seen from afar. Manufacturer (TuffX) accepted the discolouration faults, which was good, but having to deal with so many repeated issues wasn't. The glass panels were large and heavy, needing 4 people to safely install and uninstall. On ordering I went for self fitting which meant I had to continue doing so for each replacement. This created added pressure and costs to rectifying the issues. Twice the delivery didn't turn up and so more time and money was wasted arranging people to be on hand for no reason. My learning from this would be to arrange supplier fitting to cover that requirement if replacement issues occurred. Office staff were very helpful, manager was hard work. Office staff admitted to the issues and explained that sometimes the laminating process could cause discolouration. They worked hard to resolve my issues each time. The Manager however could be quite dismissive and abrupt and not return calls. They said they'd never come across the discolouration issue before. I found this quite strange considering the feedback I'd had from the office staff and that the manafucturer accepted fault on multiple occasions. Based on the majority of other Origin A reviews it appears I was unfortunate and generally people have positive experiences, however TuffX reviews are less reliable and so worth considering. Origin A potentially need to review their supply chain and the managers approach.”

“Our builder purchased a glass balustrade with spigot fittings on our behalf in July 2023. The materials were delivered on time, however, 2 of the glass panels had chipped corners. The spigots were for glass of 12mm to 17mm thickness and as the glass was 12mm, were believed to be correct. However, the grub screws were just not long enough to hold the glass in place. 3 spigots have been returned to Origin, but as far as they are concerned, they work as they should. My builder managed to fit 2 panels, one of which had a shard of glass fall out on fitting. Both of these panels had to be subsequently removed, because they were not secure in the spigot fitting and moved to and fro in strong winds. Origin are not at all concerned about this situation. They have not made any attempt to replace the chipped glass panels. Nor do they want to do anything about the inadequate spigot fittings / grub screws. I have now had a pile of glass and spigots sat on my terrace costing over £8k since July 2024 with no resolution in sight. Despite many promises for return phone calls they have never made any attempt to try and resolve the issues. I am very sad that our experience of Origin has been so poor against the experiences of others. But from our experience, we cannot recommend.”

Hi Karen Thanks for your feedback. We have spoken at length to you. You were not our customer for this installation. An order for spigots and glass was made by your builder which we supplied. We did not know where the balustrade was being installed or for whom. We have subsequently told both you and your builder that we will do all that we can to help with any further issues that either of you may have. The Origin Team.

“Had to replace old rusty railings with a modern glazed ballastrade. The whole ordering process was fantastic and Nicole was amazing with her product knowledge and communication was a pleasure to deal with. Product looks amazing and client was over the moon would highly recommend. 👌”

“I had replaced our old timber decking with a new composite deck and wanted a glass balustrade to finish it off and give us the view we wanted. I looked at lots of options and initially went to use another company, but they never responded to my calls or email, so I dismissed them. I found Origin Architectural and after reading up on them decided to go with them. It was definitely the right choice! The service was first rate - speedy delivery, top quality materials and always on the end of the phone if needed. Ashley Tattersall was so helpful, with good advice, throughout the ordering process. Nothing was too much trouble! Even their third party glass supplier was quick, speedy delivery with a pleasant and helpful driver. We’re well pleased with the finished project.”

“I have used Origin twice now over the last 4 years due to both their first class products and exemplary customer service. Both projects were medium sized builds involving lots of variable dimensions over the areas covered. Our needs were superbly met over both telephone conversations and follow up E-mail correspondence. It’s been a real advantage talking with a supplier that excels with both products and customer service. Very highly recommended to potential users. Thank you once again.”

“I am absolutely delighted with my new balustrade. Nicole did an outstanding job in specifying the which balustrade was best for us. We had a slope on our patio and she came up with a great solution with adjustable base plates which allowed us to go up the stairs. Highly recommend.”

“Damaged goods, long processing times, manager is hard work and unable to speak to with 99% of this time he isn’t around. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have time to wait for replacement products when they arrive damaged. Staff, however are very friendly.”

“Terrible product. Complained many times about this shocking product. Customer service is non existent and not willing to try rectify. All balconies I have had off them and fitted for my customers are now rusted and in poor condition. Made my company look very bad due to the lack of care from their side. Shouldn’t be in business.”

Hi. Thank you for your review. We are unclear who you are. We sell many thousands of stainless steel posts a year. The only circumstances where the stainless steel may discolour is if they are cross contaminated with mild steel. Usually the any discolouration can be treated. We are unclear who you are. “As like others, first impressions were good I placed a ( should have been a simple ) order in March 2022 for rails and glass for a 10‘ x 10‘ decking project, BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER I gave them the sizes pictured clips and still they kept getting it wrong, most of the grass was wrong size the stickers sizes where placed on the wrong glass but instead of taking responsibility they passed the blame to the customer, even had to pay extra to get 1 piece of glass sorted and when I received my delivery the sandblasted was on the wrong size yip they wanted more money to sort this for their mistake, I phoned them up and they just gave me a load of excuses after over a year of emails, phone calls, pictures, video clips and not to mention all those wrong deliveries, “when they turned up” about may 2023 I decided to take them to court… by the end of June, the court was over and so was all the excuses from a very bad run company….I lost the court case not because the company was correct, and I was wrong…. THIS IS WHERE FUTURE CUSTOMER HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL. This company has written a contract that more or less states if they get any orders wrong. (That they clearly did on this occasion and others read the reviews) It’s the customers fault….I have now sorted my issue with the glass all I had to do was move two pieces of glass 2 centimetres easy fix but clearly not for this company. with all that said , my advice would be shop wisely, first impressions are not always the best and on this occasion what you see is not always what you’re going to get”

Hi Daniel We were really disappointed to read this review. We spent many hours helping you to specify your gate panel. We supplied the same panel on three separate occasions either at a reduced cost or at no cost to yourself. You then decided to take legal action against us. In the years that we have been trading this has only happened to us on three occasions. The judge looked at the facts and could not have been clearer that the we were entirely blameless and that you were at fault. Your legal action against us was dismissed. Our business has been built on the quality of our products and our service. We are sorry that things did not work out with you. The Origin Team.

“Ashley from start to finish was there to help and give advise. I had tried to use another company before finding Origin. But I am so glad as they failed to get in touch. So I contacted Origin and what a good company they are all the staff are so helpful. The product was excellent and everyone is talking about my balcony. Well done Ashley and Origin.”
