“I ordered a wormery and duly received the bin, lid, and tap, but no drainage tray. The bin etc arrived in timely fashion but 2 weeks on I am still waiting for the drainage tray! I have been told subsequently that the original offer that I accepted did NOT include the drainage tray!! That was NOT clear in the advert! And why would you order a product without a vital component?? Poor marketing! A positive has been that email communication with Daniel Baker has been good.”

Hi Richard, Apologies to hear what's happened and for the confusion. I've just checked your order and it does include a drainage tray. The drainage tray is placed inside the lid during delivery and is often missed by customers so please check there. If it's not, please contact us immediately and we'll get a replacement sent out. “Very slow service which would have been fine except for the very rude and unhelpful response I got when I queried the time it was taking. Not impressed.”

“Product is nice but the assembly instructions are over complicated and written like fact piece than a how to build book. When I put the worms in they all climed out the lid”

Hi Ryan, Thanks for the feedback on the product. The instructions have a simple step by step guide on page 1 with the rest of the booklet designed to give you additional information. Worms will naturally try to climb out during the early stages of your wormery as they do this by nature. The best way to combat this is to offer them the best conditions possible to live in as well as placing any escapee worms back into the wormery. “Worms kept escaping from wormery. You should put a warning to seal joins with duct tape, or make sure sections clip together securely!”

Hi Richard, That is a shame. We usually have a checklist of troubleshoots to help with this issue. If the waste or conditions are too damp, worms will try to escape. They will also try to escape in the first month as they work out where they are. There are a number of reasons why a worm will want to leave but there are a few solutions. You could shine a light once you open the lid, they run back into the waste quite quickly when you do that. Some people have also found using copper tape around the lid and tray tops useful as it is a non-harmful way of discouraging them from leaving. Of course this can only work if the conditions are not damp as you would not want to drown them! “Delivery charge was very steep. My 2 items cost £13.98 and came in a medium sized envelope. Minimum delivery charge was £5.99. I had no choice of supplier as this was the only place I could get them. Even so, delivery was nearly a week - over 5 days but less than 7 days.”

“Bought 2 x 250g of Tiger worms for £19.98 but only actually received approx. 200g, the rest of the weight was compost. I told customer services I thought that could have been made clearer in the description but didn't get a reply. Delivery was quick though and the worms appear happy 2 weeks later, just a shame there wasn't more of them for the price.”

Hi Claire, Thanks for your order and for your input. We do require the worms to be transported in soil to ensure they survive the shipping journey. We do mention on our website product pages and listings that the weight mentioned is the weight of the worms and the soil combined. Please also note that 1 bag of worms is more than enough to start, maintain and run a wormery. “DPD failed to deliver my wormery. I requested it be sent to my local Homebase but was not told it was too big for this service. An attempt was made to deliver to my house. I phoned OO and arranged a day for re-delivery to my home, Despite this, DPD chose to return the wormery to OO without attempting re-delivery. Having no confidence in DPD I cancelled the order.”

Hi Maggie, We understand your frustrating but please understand this was an issue with DPD delivering your order rather than an issue with our company. The original issue was that Homebase wouldn't accept the delivery due to the size of the order. We did all we could to get the order delivered to you and will look into the issue with DPD and try to work out why this has happened so we can ensure it doesn't happen again. “I researched about buying a wormery very thoroughly , and visited the website multiple times to get everything clear in my head. The two wormeries that I bought came a little later than expected, and once set up using the very poor directions given, and thank godness for you tube. There was little bedding provided, so as well as adding my own with moist newspapers and cardboard, I woke up in the morning with the knowledge that all of the worms had escaped from the dog poo deluxe wormery, and most from the deluxe wormery, (which have all moved on too) I understand that not all of the worms will stay but the designs makes it very easy for them to get out, despite doing all that was suggested. Now I have to buy worms again and bedding in order not to waste all money I have already spent.”

“The screws weren't fit for the job. They were too short and one of them broke. I had to buy more.”

“Took a while for delivery and poor communication on progress of delivery. When delivered the 300 litre water butt was well packaged and in excellent condition to put together. However, it only has one support strut in it so butt has buckled slightly, now it is full of water, so tap is angled inwards making it hard to use. Tap also of poor quality construction has it twists in its body has you try and use it. For the money it has not lived up to expectations and I will wait and see if it lasts under the pressure of being full. Will not purchase this again from this company.”

“Very slow to deliver and poor communication. Told delay was due to somebody taking a couple of days holiday so assume must be a small company who struggle to cope with workload. Very happy with the Guttermate Rainwater Diverter kit though. Well designed and good quality even though a little on the expensive side for a rainwater diverter.”

“Whilst the product is excellent the delivery was shocking. Part of order was stuck on a ship. Instead of being informed directly I made contact after around 10 days of hearing nothing. The rely was that no one knew when the order was going to be made complete. Whilst I understand the issue was out of your control I would have expected more proactive communication. I also would have thought that the other parts of the order could have been delivered.”

“Both water butts I ordered from you were broken - including the replacement. The packaging was both inadequate and inappropriate - bubble wrap does not protect a large plastic item and I would suggest a different method in future. You did however not quibble about a refund and were very apologetic. Finally I ordered two different types of water butt from another company which were delivered safely and intact.”

“It took a very long time for my raised beds to arrive. No information was initiated by the company although they were responsive when I contacted them. I am disappointed in the quality of the wood used for the raised beds some of which almost seems to be damp with a white growth on them. Other events meant I have not taken this up with the company.”

“Ordered compost box . After 2 weeks called to find out why not delivered . Guy who makes them off sick had to send wood back. Promised an update by phone or mail . Nothing received so called again . Guy still off so so cancelled order. Which was done easiky. Recommendation if you have difficulty meeting orders contact customers dont let them call to find out.”

“The design of the stacking trays is such that it is easy for rainwater to ingress the joint saturate the mulch and then flood the sump. The interlocking design is lapped the wrong way what should be a simple product is so simple it fails. I’ve now got to build a shelter for it. More jobs I don’t need!”
