“We had fitted origin bifold doors and origin electric blinds. Both are excellent products and have made a great difference to our house. They are well made .stylish and easy to open and close. Friends have commented on the spectacular difference they have made to our house. We fitted the blinds ourselves -that was not a problem-straighforward but were disappointed with the confusing instructions provided on programming the blinds which we have yet to get right. I wish origin would have another look at this. They could do better by simplifying the instructions and by having a you tube video on how to programme the blinds to open and close to set positions. It would cost zilch Brian and Linda Thomas”

“Our doors have only just been fitted so it is early days to comment. However they appear to be very pleasing and have already drawn favourable comments. The suppliers 'Open Living', have been good to deal with, helpful, courteous and we have no complaints at all regarding the installation. Ask me again in years time when, hopefully I will be able to confirm an ongoing good experience.”

“Very early days for my 7 foot bifold doors but they seem really good quality, smooth and easy to use. Excellent customer service to date. No complaints and would recommend.”

“I'm very pleased with the doors but the contractor had to return to adjust them and now I have 2 large dents in my door which I'm battling to get them to replace. After spending what was a huge amount of money, I am very frustrated with the finished result. I can't get a response from the contractor who is giving me very bad customer service.”

“We installed bi-fold doors for our bay out to the garden, they look absolutely stunning and feel solid; extremely happy with the product. Ours are as tall as we could make them and the room has been transformed. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because they took around 3 weeks to get back to us with a quote...”

“We are delighted with the bi-fold doors. The French doors were completed once z wrong handed door was replaced. The fitter spent a couple of hours amending the door to make it secure whilst a replacement was made.”

“The windows and bi fold doors look amazing. Had a few issues with the installation company but eventually all got sorted. Having issues with the guide rollers not turning when opening the doors but told by the installation company they're not supposed to turn ?”

“The one thing that concerns me is I had the lead door open with magnet holding it. It was a little breezy and it blew shut hard. I think this will damage the doors if happened a few times. Can you advise a remedy?”

“We have 3 sets of bi-fold doors. They look great and are easy to open, but are quite 'clunky' on the handle to close. We like the fact we didn't have to pay extra for a handle, which other manufacturers wanted. It doesn't allow though for the door to be opened part way, either on a fold or the door. The door has to be fully opened and against the magnets. However, it was around £1,000 per door cheaper than the alternative we were looking for. It does what we want it to do and looks great.”

“Good value for money product. Fittings are of good quality, although the magnet clip that holds the leading door doesn't look as slick as the rest. Energy efficiency not tested yet, hence only 4 stars.”

“Frames were fine. Although the metal bits at the back really hurt my fingers when putting pictures in. Two frames the glass broke as it was so hard to get back on properly.”

“During the consultation our instructions for how our units should operate were not followed or passed on to the construction personnel so we ended up not receiving the type of units we requested. This resulted in further complication in what appears to be a design fault as when keys are left in the lock damage occurs very easily. I know that you add labels to warn customers but this should be designed out so it cannot happen make it idiot proof. This has all resulted in costing more to our original budget which should not have been the case if clear instructions on how the build should have been as then damage would not have occured. Certainly lock design needs to be looked at as they should never be were the door folds are. The actual installation was very good and efficient and the installers very courteous.”

“We are generally delighted with the bifold doors with integral blinds recently fitted, but have one major concern. A few weeks ago, a gust of wind blew the pass door shut on my hand, resulting in a visit to A & E where I had to have 20 stiches in my fingers. The door was firmly back against the magnet which is designed to keep the door back in place. Since that incident, we have, of course been very careful with the door, but despite being on the magnet, it has been blown shut several times. One of the selling points of the doors which attracted us was the safety aspect, with the gusset which stops fingers being trapped between the panels. I think that the strength of the magnet to hold the door back needs to be looked at or some other safety feature incorporated. Apart from this concern, we have found the doors to be excellent in every other way.”
