“I bought other courses before, so by comparison, the current TEFL bundle I started yesterday disappointed. The Powerpoint screen display in bolder characters made reading easier, but having to go through 60 shots at one sitting (as per unit) seemed a bit lengthy. I did not take notes, expecting to see another version (.pdf or even printable) later for personal revision. The "Notes" field or pull-down menu was empty. If we were to make notes there, we lose the thread of reading, and the disappointment deepens since there is no way we can retreive our notes as printed matter for example. More disappointing, you can't go over a lesson you've only completed reading; you are only urged to continue : "go to next lesson". How do we revise -bearing in mind there's a final gradind test at the end -for a cert? Simple reading over does not mean "knowing" what' being thought. Now whether you offer level 2, level 3 and level 4 or Foundation, Professional and Master's TEFL, as a bundle for a lower fee or price, it is again disappointing not to be aware of that from start: I bought Foundation only first, before discovering weeks later the bundle with Professional added. It 's only now, more than a month later that you are adding the Master, discovered after starting the Foundation -too late! I 'll have to buy the Master's alone later, after completing the first two I'm in possesion of at present.”

“I previously bought a dog grooming course and that's been fine apart from a few spelling mistakes in the text and the assumption that I own a dog even though the course description doesn't say it's just for dog owners. However last night i bought an animal carer course and I'm not sure when I'm going to get access to it as I've had no information about it since the purchase.”

“The purchase of the courses was easy and successful, but I can't rate the courses as I haven't finished any of them yet. I'm currently waiting for customer services to contact me as I purchased one course twice and I've been charged for that. I can't rate that yet either but I hope it'll turn out right.”

“This 'Mental Health Support Worker Course' presents a well structured material that includes the history of the development of mental health professions, policies and legislation. Also it explains different approaches and treatments related to mental health illnesses with reference to theory and practice. The academic style in which the modules' content is written is easy to read and understand at undergraduate level. Although, there are some grammar mistakes within the text of the modules. Also, each paragraph is marked with bulletin points, which makes it difficult to differentiate between the actual points made and the descriptive parts of the module. Overall, whilst the course is enjoyable, some changes can be made to improve its quality, as it has an effect on understandings of its contents.”

“I enjoyed doing the course but some of the contents in it are out of date. There are no Levels any more and in the SEN module the course made no mention of Education, Care and Health Plans that schools not contribute to. Also no mention of Provision Maps”

“The purchase of the hard copy certificate went through very quickly and hopefully it will arrive just as prompt. Unfortunately I did not wish to purchase a hard copy as I was hoping to receive the PDF email of my certificate. I passed the final exam with high distinction some 2 weeks ago and to date still have not received the PDF. I have now sent numerous emails to support learning portal/Oplex but not one reply. The course content was very thorougher and interesting just disappointing to not receive the certificate as promised.”

“The courses were ok although they weren't quite what I had anticipated. I am still waiting for a hard copy of my certificate for the advanced Sen course as it had level 3 on it instead of level 4 . I sent an email to this effect but have only been able to download a puff version showing level 4. I would very much like to have a replacement certificate showing level4. Thank you”

“The course and the questions themselves were great, passed with flying colours, but once I had completed it I wasn't emailed the pdf version of my certificate. This meant that I had to purchase the paper copy, it's been nearly two weeks and that hasn't arrived either. I also emailed them and they haven't gotten back to me. So at the moment I have passed the course, with no proof to show potential employees. Not good”

“I found some lacks in some chapter and other theme were a bit ripetitive. Then, there was the chance to listen everything, but mine it wasn t working, so I could just read it. For the rest, was interesting and helpful.”

“I think the value for money is good. The course is interesting. The only thing I would suggest is making the presentation slides downloadable or printable. I find it hard that I have to always be online to revise and would rather have the flexibility to take the slides wherever with me. Otherwise, it's good content mostly and great value for money. Thanks”

“I am not very impressed having to purchase a course extension even after emailing expressing my recent illness which has taken over my life for the best part of 7 months which didn't allow me to even work at my full-time job. I think it is pretty disgusting. I was looking to book more courses but will not be knowing that they have no care for their students well-being.”

Hi Angelee, Sorry to hear of your recent situation. All our courses come with 12 months unlimited access, which means there is adequate time to complete the course. If you don't finish your courses within 12 months you can extend this for a small fee for a further 12 month. In your case I can see that the course has now been extended for a further 12 months. “Although the layout was good and the course work informative I found many spelling and grammar mistakes. In some slides words were missing which made the meaning of the statement completely sensless. In the final assessment the spacing for most questions was off, and some of the multiple choice questions options made no sense at all. I enjoyed the course but the slides need a lot of fine tuning.. I'm sure with a little bit of tinkering the course will be fantastic. Thanks”

“I am taking the Taxation course and whilst the syllabus seems good, the course is absolutely riddled with spelling errors, grammatical errors and mathematical errors which considering this is a course where the maths needs to be accurate, I find extremely annoying. On several occasions the text is so badly written it simply doesn't make sense. I have emailed help desk about it but have heard nothing. I cannot for the life of me understand why they wouldn't proof read their documents, not just spell check. It's very poor and really lets what would be a good course down.”

“Whilst I enjoyed the course, I was disappointed to find many spelling and grammatical errors throughout the presentations. This would make the course very difficult to follow for some people. I also noticed there were some unnecessary repetitions of material from one slide to the next. A particular concern whilst studying Criminal Procedures Course is that there was a discrepancy from one slide to the next regarding presumption of guilt. I suggest that all course are proof-read before they are put onto the system as I personally found it annoying to see errors of this nature. I am currently studying another course through Oplex Careers and have already noticed grammatical errore in the first module.”

“Autism Awareness Course- some parts related to classroom/ teaching were quite informative. I thought much of it was very poorly written- loads of grammatical and syntax mistakes. The end of unit tests were often full of double negatives and just had partial sentences lifted from the presentation making absolutely no sense at all! Even the final assessment had some totally nonsensical questions so I just had to guess! So far the First Aid course seems to be written more sensibly and is refreshing my memory having done a first aid course 3 years ago.The only reason I've taken this course is because it seemed a very good value way to update my first aid knowledge having done a number of practical first aid courses in the past.”
