Very superficial,

Had to pay £80 despite the engineer being unabe to fix it. He arrived earlier than requested - we asked him to come after 2pm

Technician, great. Call centre, unhelpful, dismissive and actually so rude needed to write a formal complaint.

The repair was completed and a week later the same problem came up. I called to ask about another visit and I have never been treated so badly on the phone. The customer service has been horrific. I would never be able to use you guys again after this. I need the fault checked and after that until you sort out the customer service I would not be able to use you or recommend you.

Not completed because we need spare part. He wants to check if a spare part is available. So I paid #48 instead of 72 to pay the rest when he completes the job. If a spare part is not available then that is it; no more payment.

Didn’t really look at the fridge, just said it sounded funny and probably needed x, y and z doing and prob best to buy a new fridge. Charged £90 for privilege too…

Technician(?) arrived, told him it was the solenoid valve leaking,he checked and confirmed, but didn't seem to want to replace, took no care with removal of part, almost pulled the pressure chamber off (which really would have been expensive!) till I told him not to. Eventually prized it off with a big screw driver, possibly damaging the housing. Subsequently I discovered its a simple screw and lock fitting. Left after 15mins....£50....dishwasher still not fixed, but I think I'll take it from here....less stress! Not an unpleasant guy, just didn't seem to know much about Miele dishwashers.

I requested someone come fix three problems with my smeg dual fuel cooker and oven. They sent an engineer who ‘didn’t do gas’, he did a fine job fixing my oven but wasn’t able to do anything with the hob as he wasn’t gas certified, he told me the rings just needed cleaning which I have done and it hasn’t fixed the problem. I also requested some spare parts for the hob which he didn’t have. So one out of three problems were fixed and I have another call out charge if I want it done properly. How annoying.

Don't use these guys - engineer was booked but wouldn't come to E14 from Finsbury Park, and was rude when I queried it, and ruder when the guy on the helpdesk made him ring back. Only gets 2* because the booking process and helpdesk chap were good.

I booked an appointment online for the next day. When I didn't receive a confirmation call after 2 hours, I called customer service and was told there was nobody available for the next 4 days. There is no excuse for allowing customers to book slots that aren't available.

I was told a receipt for the works would be emailed to me. Despite my chasing up with a reminder email I still haven't received a written receipt for my payment. Disappointing.

The problem was resolved but the system for booking and charging were a complete mess- it took 2 visits and several phone calls but even then the engineer quoted a higher price than the office and communication between the two was bad.

I wanted to replace a split fridge door seal. They gave me a quote online and when I called to confirm the time, told me they were just waiting for the part. They strung me along until a week after the appointment time had come and gone, claiming that the part was in the post, until I finally spoke to an engineer. He said that they don't replace fridge door seals at all, so the person in the office I had spoken to multiple times had clearly been making things up every time I called. Fair enough if the job can't be done, but seriously unimpressed with the service. The nifty online booking system gives an air of efficiency and reliabilty which is, I fear, spurious.

Did not fit the brand new freezer properly which meant that it froze up within days. Engineer returned to fix the problem but left a mess. In addition, caused damage to front door when removing the old freezer.
Helpful Report
They do not confirm appointments as claimed. The quote online was disputed by the man who came to repair Communication between repairer and office bad Promise that if they did not have the part they would not charge until repaired was not kept to It took 3 visits before my problem was solved

Hello. I was disappointed because the engineer came in for about 3 minutes and told me it wasn't worth fixing and then charged me £40 with barely looking at the machine. I feel that because I had already explained the problem over email with an error code it would have been preferable if someone could have explained this before hand. I would not have called out the engineer in that case.

Booked online and received an email stating the visit time and booking reference. When I called Customer Service to double check as there was only 30 mins left on the visit window the rep stated it wasn't booked in and he was rude. He stated it would not happen on the day it was booked for (after I had taken the day off as the email suggested it would). I was then cut off the call. The rep didn't care and was rude. I called back and he was brusque - I asked him to cancel as I found another provider who could do the job on the same day, confirmed and were far more polite. Will never be contacting them again due to their lack of customer service skills.

Dear S Nicholls, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your recent repair appointment. Following on from your recent correspondence with our Customer service Team Member, we have looked into your John Lewis dishwasher repair and we can see that you arranged for an engineer to attend to the property on the 18th April via our online booking service. The repair booked at 01:48:16 AM on 2017-04-18 (bank holiday) for a 10-12 Slot on the Same day. Both on our booking page and on the email you received we clearly mentioned that all bookings are subject to confirmation by our Customer Services Team (usually within 1 business hour by phone, text message and/or email). Bookings made after 6pm Monday to Friday or after 3pm on Saturday or Sunday/Bank Holidays will be confirmed on the next working day. Nowhere in the email we suggested that we are sending an engineer today morning and as requested, we have cancelled the repair. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused to you. Kind Regards
Interesting experience. My fridge freezer had stopped working; the fridge was too warm and having accidentally switched it off, I couldn't switch it on again. Very quick same day service but I'm afraid I found the advice given (I wasn't able to be there) quite bizarre. Apparently the engineer stayed about five minutes. Told my lodger that we should turn off the freezer, without giving advice as to how to store the food inside while this went on, and that this would lower the temperature in the fridge - apparently the freezer was not defrosted. It is a frost-free freezer. He also thought it was fine to continue to hold the on/off switch in place with sellotape! I have rung in an attempt to have a conversation with him but no one has called me back. I am unsure if he knew what was wrong and what I paid him for. Perhaps someone could contact me and explain. As it stands I have exactly the same problem I had before he arrived.
