“Ordered the protectakote wb to coat a shower tray in a motorhome. The paint came quickly and well packaged. The paint is very thin and nigh on impossible to get to stay on a vertical surface. It pools badly. First coat took nearly 5 hours to dry and that is applying it very thin as per instructions. Wouldn't recommend especially for the price.”

We are very sorry to hear that you have had difficulty using Protectakote WB. It is a water based product so will appear to be thinner than a similar solvent based product but is no less effective and does give excellent adhesion to acrylic shower trays. However it is very important that the product is never stored at below 5°C, the substrate and air temperature must be above 10°C when its applied, particularly at this time of year we would recommend storing it at normal room temperature for 24 hours before use. The paint must be thoroughly stirred with a flat sided paint stirrer (not a screwdriver or stick) and either stippled on or applied with a textured honeycomb roller to get an even anti slip finish. Depending on the repair you might need to apply 3 coats.

“I applied the product to a shower tray in my motor home to cover over repairs to cracks made with araldite. Took three coats to completely obscure the discolouration. Easy to apply but I’d recommend starting in morning so the tw hour wait between coats doesn’t take you TIL midnight !!”

We are very sorry to hear that you haven't received your test sachets yet, they were sent direct to you by OsmoUK on the same day you placed your order. Unfortunately Royal Mail seem to be experiencing staff shortages and long delays in some areas but I have asked Osmo to resend the order.
