To much unnecessary information. To slow.

A bit slow. Could do with being able to go through the slides for quicker readers. Also, a bit outdated. Examples used are old and it talks about the Health Protection Agency which was disbanded 6 years ago

Simple to follow and easy to understand. However there were several spelling mistakes in the exam which doesn’t really inspire confidence. Otherwise a good course to get the required qualification

The training was very frustrating as on EVERY slide I had read and understood the content and then had to wait at least 20 seconds for the continue button to appear. This meant that I could have completed the course within 2 hours and not 4 which is what it took.

Two of the slides didnt work properly - at the time, I didnt realise that these were only the slides leading up to the actual exam (so it didnt matter). One was a drop down thing where you had to select an answer (section 7 I think, about detergents, all the option drop down menus worked on that slide except one, which would not budge so I had to skip the question).

Unfortunately doesn’t take into account learning styles so does not suit everyone to learn simply from a screen

Good points: It's affordable, can be done at home and around other commitments. Bad points: Spelling errors in slides, audio didn't always match slides, in test questions didn't always make sense or seem relevant. It might be worth reviewing the training material. However, it got the job done for me and gave me lots to think about.

Most of it was pretty basic information, would have liked a little more in depth information! Noticed quite a few spelling mistakes!

Please provide an option to turn the narration off - waiting for the voice reading the text to finish before moving on was tedious and made me lose concentration so my learning was not as efficient. Otherwise, very good!

Some of the wording for a selection of questions was quite confusing.

Covered a good range of topics. The questions at the end of each module were poor quality - although very simple questions, the way they were asked was often very confusing. For example, a question about what food items go on which shelf, but the shelves were not numbered and it was unclear which item related to which shelf. I found the 'fill in the blanks' questions surprisingly difficult (as it wasn't the way I would have worded the sentences!), although the answers later seemed obvious. Also, when I typed some answers in, if there was a typo or worded slightly differently, it was incorrect and not recognised as an answer. The final 20 questions were also poorly written. I felt too many questions were about legal obligations/rules and not food safety, and were very confusing! Unclear about answers needed to be selected e.g. when multiple answers were correct.

Could do in instalments, not all in one sitting.

Good to be able to do in modules when convenient but frustrating that website was slow, intermittent sound and sometimes hung and when refreshed took back to start of module

Booking the course was not smooth- I had to phone for guidance. I went straight to the test without the training(as had done 3 years ago and feeling confident!) and found a number of questions with really quite ambiguous questions and answers and really not sure what answer you were looking for. The summary of the test at the end should tell you what the right answers were as I wasn't any wiser being told what I had answered was wrong!

Content was good and helpful However, main disadvantage is how long it takes to skip to the next slide. It is very patience testing and distracts from learning the content. I understand that you want to ensure people read the slide, but this is counterproductive. Maybe set a minimum number of seconds rather than waiting till all the content has been read out. It was very frustrating.
