The nuts from here are superior to the ones you get in the shops. The company delivers very quickly. I almost did not order from them, and I probably won't order from them again. This is because they have a weird delivery charging policy. For one, the more you buy, the more they charge. This impacted my order as I then removed things I wanted to buy to bring the costs down to a reasonable price. This is an odd business model for me. I didn't want to spend the amount to qualify for free delivery (£48), but I would have actually ordered more if they did not have strange price increases with weight and postage. I do not understand because I can send something 10kg with Royal Mail for less than they were charging. I do not need my nuts delivered next day. I would rather have options for an economy delivery and order again. The thing that really made me angry was the tax. They tax you on delivery and not at a rate of 20%. There is no transparency on this at all. No explanation that I could find (and I did look) that explained this fully. What I was being charged and why and how it was calculated. That for me is a huge no-no from a company, and I won't order from them again. About £1.30 they charged me for an unexplained shipping tax! Way above 20%. I ordered about £26 worth and deliberately kept it under 3kg with shipping at £3.19 for up to 3KG (3.5kg and you are looking at a delivery charge of £6.99! over 3.5 and it jumps to £7.95!), but then I was charged £1.76 tax. It is not clear at all what this is for and thats not ok. Nowhere on the website does it suggest the products don't include VAT. It says this about VAT on delivery if you look hard, "Carriage charges are shown without VAT, tax added at checkout". At what rate?!? £1.76 tax for £3.19 of shipping?!

Firstly, it’s good to hear that you appreciated the products supplied and the efficiency of our service. 1. Delivery charges normally increase with parcel size and weight no matter the courier. 2. We do offer free delivery to mainland UK on orders of £48 and over because the margins in the figure are enough to cover carriage costs. 3. Next day deliver ensures your food items aren’t hanging around in uncontrolled sorting centres and storage facilities. We want to keep the risk of contamination and damage to a minimum. 4. Most of our products are natural and VAT free, so we show VAT/TAX separately for the products which are subject to VAT. These products are clearly marked with “20% VAT applies to this product. “ within the item page. VAT also applies to delivery carriage as standard, which is also charged at 20% and explained in delivery information and charges page. VAT is also show in the cart at check out before you are asked to pay. 5. We deal with a lot of small business who require a VAT breakdown on their receipt, given the fact we offer Vatable and non-vatable products we must show it separately. Ordering online was easy, straight forward and surprisingly very fast servide, the brazil nuts ordered was delivered via Royal Mail 48 hour tracked within days. Pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend this wonderful company for great customer service, ease of ordering and super fast service with high quality products.

Reliably the best fruit, nuts, seeds and nut butters I can find on the market. Consistently fresh with a wide variety to choose from. I use daily for breakfast, snacking and cooking. Service is friendly, professional and swift with the added bonus of help carrying out to my car. Excellent all round, I highly recommend.

Hi Ermira, Thank you for your review, although we are also deeply disappointed that you felt the need to leave a one-star review before discussing the situation. Firstly, nuts do not have an expiring date as they natural and low risk. We use “Best before” dates and this is why we only give our products a maximum of six months shelf life, so they are consumed whilst they are at their best.. When nuts are stored correctly, they will keep for 12 months or more however, no matter how well they are stored, an old nut is not going to taste as fresh as a new nut. So, we encourage customers to consume nuts sooner rather than later is a better experience. If weren’t happy with the best before, we would have happy taken them back for a full refund. You might prefer to purchase nuts with over ambitious best before dates. But we prefer to keep our shelf life short and realistic for maximum freshness whilst using PV and FFA testing to ensure our customers receive the best product.
