“It took months for someone to reply to my job. The system of the site to check if a quote is been provided and a job is been done is based on my confirmations only. No protection no payment systems, there are safer and more productive sites for the job.”

“Unfortunately 'myjobquote' insists upon putting in a minimum job fee on any posting, depending on what 'it thinks' the job is worth. This has resulted in me sending away a tradesman who genuinely thinks that a 'One hour rendering job' is worth £500 without even seeing the job (nice money if you can get it) ...... I will wait and see if another tradesman contacts me and is more sensible, but then I will go elsewhere and post the same job where they don't insist on stating a minimum fee when I post a job, a fee that every tradesman can see.”

“After my job remained on the board for quite a long time, I eventually received an approach from one local builder. In the absence of any other approaches, I reached agreement with him and he completed the job. I thought 'myjobquote' had a long list of builders from whom I could secure more than one quote for my relatively minor job. In this respect I was disappointed my expectations were not met.”

“I found the experience of putting the job online interesting, as at first I didn't put enough information up, of which I then corrected. I got too many texts/emails asking me if the job was closed. But in the options of updating the status there is not a statement that states the 'Job is in the process of being completed by a engineer/craftsman/woman', or words to that effect. As I had arranged for someone to come and look at the job, but it wasn't for a few days or later that day. Thank you”

“I've just started advertising on my job quote as a plumber they are sending me lots of leads but the customers phone numbers are saying this number is not recognised when i send the customer a email they never respond the leads cost me my credits but to be fair my job quote does refund them back to my account”

“Only a couple of downsides with the site for me was that l asked for a local trader and got people wanting to quote me from 55miles away, and somebody pays for all that travel time. Also, can feel quite pushy with the frequent emailing which can be irritating. Found a good local trader though, in my hometown which matters to me for continuity, and will use Aiden again.”
