“Disappointed. The bag has no depth to unable a number of books in the bag before the clasp won't fold over properly. I bought the bag for my great nephew who I take to the library. We like to get a variety of books generally around eight at a time. The books vary in size and we have found it a problem to close the bag. I think the bag needs more depth and also to be larger for the money. Even his name is not straight and it only has four characters! Loved the fabric design though.”

“Bag was ok quality but tiny - nothing like the image shows of it on a 6 year old. Quite disappointed as wanted a larger backpack and this would really only hold a toy. Wrote to 1st years and they wouldn’t help at all so that was also pretty disappointing.”

“Two fairly poor experiences. A while back I ordered a bag , it arrived with the a loose zip, I didn’t want it to be sent back to landfill so I kept it and fixed it myself, I was offered a £5 gift card but I don’t think I used it. Second experience, a present for a baby shower, arrived a day late, too late for me to take, so I had to post it on, but the green ‘gift box’ was completely damaged so I had to repack it too :( offered £5 gift card but I won’t attempt it a third time”

“I ordered Father’s Day gifts to celebrate my son’s grandads as this was the first Father’s Day. The gifts came and were very very cheap quality, the cards I ordered weren’t on photo paper, it looked like I had printed them myself not bought through a company. The personalisation was limited to a certain no. of characters which meant I had to get creative with how I put the name on the gifts as there wasn’t room. I ordered the tee bag and golf towel but I didn’t realise there were no tees inside, I haven’t looked back at the description, however, it was not obvious when I ordered. So in conclusion, very disappointed! Especially as I was so excited to give our dads a thoughtful gift from their 5 week old grandson.”

“Items ordered for a gift were nice - however, they didn’t arrive within the delivery window that was given at point of purchase.
If the delivery was going to take longer than advertised I would have shopped elsewhere to ensure I had the gift in time for a birthday party.
When contacting the customer service team the response was not the most helpful either.. and they also didn’t respond within their advertised response time.”

“The farm shape sorter toy and book seemed lovely but I was really disappointed that the my first years green box it was sent with was too small for the items?? As this was a gift I did not want to unpack the toy from the original packaging and have never been expected to do that with any other purchase to try get it to fit. Was such a shame.”
